Our Vision/Mission:
What do you get when you blend communication and unity? Her Campus Bryant wants to find out. In a predominantly business-focused school, female students are looking for an outlet to be creative, and yes, even girly! We aim to be that resource for its readers, staff, and the greater Bryant community. As Bryant University’s branch of the online magazine Her Campus, our staff publishes original content on topics such as style, health, love, career, beauty, and college life to our site every week. Because it is entirely student-written, the content of HC Bryant is personalized to the interests of current and prospective Bryant students in the form of news, blogs, profiles, polls, photoblogs and events

Although we are primarily an online publication, our vision goes far beyond that! We believe that women (and men) should support one another, and that when you bring together a group of like-minded, powerful women, anything is possible. With that in mind, we hold regular events for our members and other students/faculty/staff – from pajama parties to networking events – aimed at fostering a greater sense of comm-unity among the women (and men) at Bryant. Finally, Her Campus Bryant is passionate about giving back. We fundraise and volunteer for charitable causes on a regular basis, and we plan to expand our philanthropic efforts as our organizationcontinues to grow.

Background/History:
Bryant University’s Branch of Her Campus was founded by students Makena Sage (’12) and Hillary Coombs (’14) in the spring of 2012. The site - www.HerCampus.com/Bryant - went live on February 7th, with a staff consisting of just the co-founders and one editor, Jessica Kline (’14), who has since been elected as co-president of Her Campus Bryant for the 2012-2013 school year (along with Devon Correll, ’14). The site was an immediate hit, receiving over 5,500 page views in the first week alone. We have since grown to a staff of nearly 30 students, and our advisor, Professor Elaine Notarantonio.
