Need An IG Caption For Your Couples Costume This Halloween? I’ve Got You Covered

Both fall and love are in the air right now. With couples costumes in the works and scary movie date plans on the calendar, it’s safe to say that Halloween is basically the new Valentine’s Day — kind of. If you’re thinking of posting any Halloween-related content on Instagram, especially if it’s a couples costume, you’ll need a caption that’s just as wonderful as you and your S.O. are. If you’re anything like me, you’ll spend too much time staring blankly at your screen, hoping the right words will come to you for Instagram captions that show off your creative side. In the end, you might just give up and post emojis. There is no shame in that. ✨

Luckily, there’s a caption out there for any occasion. As you and your S.O. start to plan your Halloween costumes, you might also want to consider the types of pics the two of you will take. Whether you choose to pose in your costumes or with a buttload of candy, you’re sure to come up with a creepy-cute Instagram post. From Spongebob and Patrick all the way to Jack and Sally, we know you’ve got the cutest costume pairing ready to go. We will help you with all the rest.

1. “What’s sweeter: candy or @ (S.O.)?🍭🍫🍬”

Cheesy as this caption is, it fits the Halloween theme to a T. Use candy as a prop (and afterward, as a snack) for you and your S.O. ‘s pic.

2. “I put a spell on you, and now you’re mine”

Looking for a bewitching caption? Take inspiration from Jay Hawkins’s “I Put a Spell on You.” If you and your S.O. just so happen to dress as witches for Halloween, this caption would be extra appropriate.

3. “Morticia and Gomez who?”

Morticia and Gomez are the ultimate spooky couple. This year, show them who their competition is. Perfect timing for the recent popularity of the Netflix show Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega!

4. “We’re still waiting for the Great Pumpkin”

No other movie puts me in the Halloween spirit like It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Have there been any Great Pumpkin sightings lately?

5. “Falling for you🍂🍁”

This caption speaks for itself. Since “falling for you” isn’t Halloween-specific, you can use it at any point of the season. It works with every picture, whether you and your S.O. are apple picking or admiring the autumn foliage.

6. “My ghost with the most”

While I highly doubt that you’re dating a ghost, this is a fun caption you can use for any Halloween pic.

7. “Hey, pumpkin🎃🧡🤎”

Cute and simple, this caption should definitely be on your radar. It is pumpkin spice season, after all.

8. “Brb, we’re headed to Halloweentown”

You have to admit, Halloweentown is a holiday classic. I’m still jealous of Marnie’s broom.

9. “Boo from us to you👻🤍🤍”

If you and your S.O. opt for a spooky couples costume, this is the perfect caption to use. What’s more Halloweeny than the ghost emoji?

10. “Sorry Ghostbusters — I’m gonna call (S.O.)”

Who you gonna call? Probably your S.O. to watch Halloween movies with you.

11. “Straight out of Monstober”

Disney Channel’s Monstober was the highlight of my childhood. Bring back the magic with this nostalgic IG caption!

12. “Lovely weather for a hayride together”

Here’s another versatile caption to use anytime in autumn. Obviously, this caption might fit best for pics of you and your S.O. on a hayride. But post however you please.

13. “The (costume) to my (costume)”

So what if this caption’s a bit overdone? “The __ to my __” is everyone’s go-to for a reason: it’s short, sweet, and speaks for itself. Naturally, you’ll need an amazing couple’s costume to fill in the blanks.

14. “Baby, it’s Halloween…and we can be anything”

I can’t be the only one who’s heard Phoebe Bridgers‘ “Halloween.” While it may not be her most popular song, it’s a good one — and one you can use as an amazing Instagram caption.

15. “Double, double toil and trouble🤍✨”

If Shakespeare had an Instagram, he definitely would’ve used this caption. Pay tribute to the witches from Macbeth — though hopefully, nothing wicked will come your way.

Don’t let stressing about Instagram distract you from enjoying Halloween. Remember, likes don’t matter — have fun with what you post!
