Whether you’re going to the gym or on a hot girl walk, doing pilates or yoga at home, or even running late to class, you need music to help fuel you. Music can help keep you motivated and remind you of your strength, and it’s also important that your playlist has fun and dynamic songs so that you can enjoy it.

Keeping your playlist updated with spooky songs is a great way to get in the holiday spirit this October and help you to romanticize the season. Working out shouldn’t be scary, but that doesn’t mean your playlist can’t be. Here are my top ten picks for your Halloween workout playlist.

“The Witches are Back” from Hocus Pocus 2

This song is a re-written version of Elton John’s “The Bitch is Back” and has an old fashioned sound reminiscent of the 70s, and it doesn’t miss a beat. Weaving the story of the movie, Hocus Pocus, into the song — it makes for a perfect blend of witchcraft and a catchy tune.

“E.T.” by Katy Perry

This song about aliens starts with eerie lyrics that set the “supernatural” mood and has a strong beat from the very beginning. It would be great for running or even an abs circuit.

“Look What You Made Me Do” by Taylor Swift

Everyone should fear Taylor Swift — especially her enemies. This song’s upbeat and mysterious sound coupled with its inspiring message is perfect to workout out to. “The old me can’t come to the phone right now. Why?” Cause I’m at the gym.

“Cruella De Vil” by Selena Gomez

This classic Disney song is upbeat and will help pump you up for your workout. Try watching the music video while walking on the treadmill as its bound to make you strut like a supermodel when Selena walks the runway in the closing scene. It’s a whole vibe.

“Magic Carpet Ride” by KSM

This song has a happy and groovy sound to help keep your vibes high while breaking a sweat. Its lyrics mix magic, love, and Aladdin to set a very enchanting mood.

“Backstabber” by Kesha

A great workout song isn’t only upbeat, but it also has a motivating message. “Backstabber” is dedicated to that toxic person in your life whose “such a sh*t-talker.” But don’t worry, everyone knows that’s their reputation, and you’re actually really cool.

“Skeleton Sam” by LVCRFT

From the very first notes, this song gives spooky vibes. This song will “make you wanna dance dance dance” and would be perfect for some dance cardio or pilates.

“Rotten to the Core” from Descendents

This song is for all the bad b*tches and will give you the energy you need for your workout. This song starts off with a strong beat and doesn’t give it up. “Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the baddest of them all?” You already know the answer.

“Alive” by Kid Cudi

“Every time the moon shines, I become alive” is giving major werewolf vibes. Werewolves are jacked, and so are you. #TeamJacob

“Ready or Not” by Bridgit Mendler

This jam is an absolute necessity for your workout playlist, and Halloween is the perfect time to add it. This song is where flirty and mysterious lyrics meet a beat that you can jam out to while working out.

P.S. Here are my runner ups.

“Cannibal” by Kesha

“Disturbia” by Rihanna

“Levitating” by Dua Lipa

“Godzilla” by Eminem

“You Can Do Magic” by Andrew Seeley
