Alani Nu has become one of the biggest wellness and supplement companies on the market, as seen promoted by influencers such as Libby Christensen and Whittney Simmons. Alani is GMP certified and supplies products and supplements with only the best of ingredients, which is why they’re my #1 company when it comes to anything health and fitness related! Their products are filler free with ingredients you can actually pronounce, and Alani Nu offers so many gluten-free or vegan items in their collections as well.

By no means am I suggesting that any of these supplements are necessary to be successful in your fitness journey! You can achieve amazing results by nutrition and fitness alone; these are simply tools to make the process a little bit more enjoyable.

Pre-Workout

If we’re starting out with the product that got me hooked on Alani Nu in the first place, we have to talk about their pre-workout! The first supplement almost anyone looking to get into fitness will purchase will most likely always be pre-workout, but why do we take it? Jam-packed with 200 mg of caffeine, pre-workout gives you the motivation you need to power through your workouts, even on the busiest of days. It’s not a necessity to begin your fitness journey, but it’ll give you the energy you need to finish strong.

One of the reasons I love this product from Alani Nu is because many pre-workouts can leave you feeling extremely jittery and almost itchy from the ingredients. Although you can still feel when the caffeine hits, I’ve never had any of these nasty side-effects from Alani’s! Plus, once you take it, there’s no backing out of a workout.

My Favs: Hawaiian Shaved Ice, Pink Guava and Rainbow Candy

Stim-Free Pump

To all my ladies out there who are extremely sensitive to caffeine, this one’s for you! Speaking from my experience with anxiety, and as an avid coffee enthusiast, I know that overconsuming caffeine can lead to a whole lot of problems and downward spirals. This can often be an issue when you’re looking to take a supplement to get you pumped for the gym, but can’t handle the 200 mg of caffeine that pre-workouts contain. Luckily, this stimulant-free pump can give you that extra boost you’re looking for and a whole lot of focus, all without any caffeine.

While I still love my pre-workout, on the days where I’ve already had way too much caffeine (because let’s face it, a girl needs her Starbucks), I like to replace it with my pump! This way, I still get my energy to workout without going overboard. If you’re not as sensitive to caffeine, you can even stack your pre and pump for a super-charged gym session, and all the flavors mix wonderfully!

My Favs: Black Cherry and Arctic White

BCAA

One of my all-time favorite supplements to take would definitely have to be BCAAs (branch chain amino acids). We all know recovery is one of the most important aspects of your fitness game, and BCAAs can aid in muscle recovery. I’ve noticed that whenever I drink BCAAs during my workout, I feel much less sore afterward in comparison to when I don’t. If I had to recommend only one supplement to my girls on their fitness journey (which would be incredibly hard) it would definitely have to be BCAAs!

My Favs: Sour Peach Rings (it’s the only flavor I’ve tried, but I’m too addicted to switch: 100/10 recommend)

Energy Drinks

As a girl who used to be super against energy drinks, I can’t believe I’m writing this. Alani Nu truly changed the game on the formulation of energy drink ingredients. Unlike almost every other energy drink on the market, these are made with absolutely zero sugar and are only 10 calories! I wish I had recorded my family’s reaction when they read the nutrition label, because their look of disapproval and judgment quickly disappeared when they realized that despite the bad rep, these energy drinks really aren’t that bad.

I personally like to drink these after a long day at work or class for a little caffeine boost before homework. Even though 200 mg of caffeine may seem like a lot, it’s about the same amount as the average macchiato.

My Favs: Cosmic Stardust, Tropsicle, Sour Peach Rings and Hawaiian Shaved Ice

Balance

One of the supplements that Alani Nu is most recognized for is their Balance capsules. Let me preface this by saying that you should definitely consult a physician before taking any supplements that can affect hormones to discuss possible risk factors. Personally, I’ve had amazing results from this daily supplement. The most common result that people see from Balance is an astonishing improvement in their complexion. This product focuses on hormonal balance, weight management, and complexion, and was formulated with doctors during Katy Hearn’s struggle with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome). I’ve seen amazing results in my skin with an immense reduction in acne. I’ve also noticed I’m in a better mood and feel less fatigued. I would suggest reading up more on the ingredients and whether or not this would be a good additive into your daily routine, but in my experience, this supplement was a godsend!

Nootropic

As a clinical health student, I’m always looking for new ways to improve my health and wellness routine. I try my best to include naturally formulated substances in my regimen to aid in enhancing functionality that I’m not otherwise obtaining through my diet and fitness alone. One of the supplements I learned about in my nutrition class is nootropics, which are substances formulated to enhance cognitive function. Let me just tell you, as a student, this is my saving grace! Nootropics can boost memory and improve your brain and nerve health. It’s been a game-changer when getting through classes in quarantine.

While there are so many more products from Alani Nu that I absolutely adore (*cough* protein bars and the munchies protein powder *cough*) these are my product “empties” that I’ve repurchased many times. Enjoy!
