The leaves are falling off the trees, and the weather is getting cooler, which only means one thing: Halloween is finally here! From cozy movie nights to visiting haunted houses, there are so many ways to celebrate the spooky season with your friends. Whether you are looking for a relaxing night in or an exciting night out, here are 10 Halloween activities to do this year.

1) Bake and Decorate Halloween Cookies

Everyone loves sweet treats, so grab the pans and ingredients and turn on the oven to bake the most delicious and cute snacks. Use orange, purple, and black icing to make the most fun designs, like pumpkins, spiders, or black cats. You could even make it a competition against your friends!

2) Halloween Movie Marathon

Nothing is more comforting than sitting around with your besties and watching a movie. Pick a selection of nostalgic, new, scary, and comedic films that everyone loves, and bring out the blankets, grab some popcorn, and turn off the lights for a cozy night in.

3) Pumpkin painting

Don’t want to get pumpkin guts all over your hands? Try painting the pumpkin instead! Pick up a few mini pumpkins, grab some paint and brushes, and let everyone create their own design. Whether you paint something for the fall season, spooky ghosts, or a trendy pattern, you will have your own personalized decoration to display all season long.

4) Make a Halloween Hot Chocolate Bar

With the cold weather outside, a warm drink in your hand is always a good idea. Set up a hot chocolate bar with whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate chips, sprinkles, and other Halloween-themed toppings. Let everyone make their own drink, then get ready for a relaxed night of chatting, watching movies, or playing games.

5) Create a Halloween-themed playlist

Every season needs the perfect playlist. Get all your friends together, sit down, and create a perfect playlist full of Halloween classics, spooky songs, and your favorite fall hits. Add songs like “Thriller” by Michael Jackson and “Monster Mash” by Bobby Pickett to get everyone in the Halloween spirit.

6) Make Boo Baskets

Boo baskets are the perfect way to show your friends how much you love them. Fill up the basket with their favorite foods, Halloween candy, fall candles, skincare, stuffed animals, and other little items they like. Make sure to personalize each basket so it is special for each friend, and remember to make it Halloween-themed!

7) Spooky Charcuterie Board

Turn your next hangout into something a little chicer; have everyone create their very own Halloween-themed charcuterie board. Arrange cheese, crackers, fruit, candy, and other snacks into a nice spread, and add ghost-shaped treats or candy eyeballs for another festive touch. It is the perfect snack to share during a get-together or Halloween party

8) Have a Halloween-Themed Game Night

Have a lively time with your friends by having a game night! Bring your favorite board and card games, or try Halloween trivia, spooky charades, and scary movie guessing competitions. Add some friendly contests and small prizes to make things even more exciting, and have so much fun with everyone.

9) Paint Halloween Tote Bags

Make the most of the cool, fall weather by visiting a pumpkin patch. Spend the afternoon picking pumpkins, exploring the field, and taking cute pictures with your friends. Many pumpkin patches also have hayrides, corn mazes, and seasonal treats, which make it easy to spend time with everyone for an entire fall day.

10) Visit a Haunted House

If you and your friends want to do a Halloween classic, visiting a haunted house is the perfect activity! Go with your bravest friends, and get ready to walk through creepy hallways, meet terrifying characters, and probably get scared a little more than you planned. Make it even more fun by seeing who can make it through without getting scared or grabbing onto someone else!

Halloween is such a fun and exciting time of year, and there are so many different activities to do with the people you love! No matter what you choose to do, it is all about making the best memories, so grab all your friends and make this spooky season one of the most fun yet!
