If one of your goals this coming school year is to start working out or you’re just looking for something new, might I suggest Flowstate Hot HIIT Studio as the place for you! Flowstate, located in Midtown Tallahassee, has rapidly become a student-favorite here at FSU.

Built around the concept of heat-infused workouts, Flowstate offers a unique perspective beyond just fitness, but rather a community-centered experience that’s both motivating and deeply rewarding.

Unlike typical gym spaces where workouts can feel fragmented or repetitive over time, Flowstate has a variety of skilled instructors, each with their own unique style. With options ranging from beginner to experienced, members can choose what works best for them while still reaping the same benefits from a heated class, such as increased circulation, greater muscle relaxation, and just breaking that extra sweat (I know I did).

Beyond their fitness methods, the social aspect of this studio is such an added benefit. With a primarily college-student clientele, many members enjoy working out in the company of friends and familiar faces. In an era where fitness spaces can sometimes feel intimidating, Flowstate’s inviting atmosphere makes it a top choice for our students who actually want to enjoy their workout.

If this sounds like a space that would be the right fit for you, I encourage you to keep reading for a closer look at what they have to offer!

Flowstate’s services are a combination of both intense fitness and intentional recovery. They tackle the idea of wellness, allowing you to exert and restore yourself all in one place.

Heated Classes

Not all heated classes are the same. Each one is designed with a specific purpose and caters to a specific skill set. Flowstate offers three main class formats, all of which are conducted in infrared heat, which warms the body directly rather than just heating the air.

A Hot HIIT class includes a 35-minute high-intensity interval training session featuring stair climbers, resistance movements, and cardio bursts. The purpose of Hot HIIT is to elevate the heart rate while keeping the workout both fast and effective.

Hot Pilates & Sculpting is a 50-minute session that combines traditional Pilates principles of core strength, posture work, and intentional movement with heat to increase both flexibility and body control.

Hot Yoga is a 60-minute guided practice focused on mobility, breath control, balance, and relaxation. This is a class suitable for all levels and is paced to allow for mindful personalization when it comes to stretching and strengthening.

Oasis Recharge

Flowstate is home to The Oasis, their own dedicated recovery space where members and guests alike can book 30-minute sessions to relax and renew. Within these sessions, participants can enjoy any of three major options.

Cold Plunge Pools include a dual cold plunge tub between 39 and 55 degrees. This is excellent for reducing inflammation, boosting circulation, and promoting rapid post-workout recovery. An Infrared Sauna is a full-spectrum infrared panels that warm the body from the inside out. This supports muscle tension, enhanced detoxification, and increased blood flow.

Lastly, a Grounding Mat is an earthing mat that connects the body to Earth’s natural electric field. Improving circulation, easing tension, and aiding in nervous system recovery, it provides a calming space for a mental reset.

flowstate Membership Options

Students often have a lot on their plates. Whether it’s a particularly rigorous schedule this semester, a full or part-time job, or prior social commitments, it can all become very overwhelming at times. Flowstate understands that and has accommodations for those who just have a little extra going on, making it the perfect spot for students on campus.

Intro Options

Flowstate has a variety of introductory options for those who want to see if this would be the right fit for them. Experiences offered during this time period don’t include any long-term contracts and allow for cancellation anytime.

Flowstate allows newcomers to sign up and book one class completely free of charge. This allows the guest to get a look at the studio and test out a class type or instructor that they’re interested in.

The Trial Package includes five classes over the course of 15 days for $49. This is perfect for those who are contemplating a membership but want to try out multiple class types or instructors

For drop-ins, Flowstate offers three drop-in packs, including one-time, 10-pack, and 20-pack each at differing price points. These never-expiring options are for those who don’t want a full membership but work out occasionally or in certain instances. As for the cherry on top, new guests can enjoy up to three free recovery sessions in The Oasis.

If you have decided that a membership is for you, there are four different memberships to choose from. These are billed every month and go up in value as frequency increases.

Whether you’re hoping to establish a consistent fitness routine or explore something new, Flowstate’s experience is one-of-a-kind, and I truly could not recommend it more!
