Mid-Semester Reset

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UK chapter.

It’s that point in the semester when all the weeks feel extremely long and slow, but the deadlines are still approaching quickly. If your weeks have been going anything like mine, falling asleep with all the lights on, doing homework, then you’re probably feeling like me, frazzled and constantly behind. It’s probably time to take a mid-semester reset so you are able to finish the semester strong.

  1. Start using your planner again!!!

    1. When my life gets super hectic, the first thing to go is my planner, which is ironic, because it’s the one thing that will help me the most. Putting upcoming assignments, projects and extracurricular activities so that you can maximize your time.

  2. Start going to bed at a decent time!

    1. Honestly, this one is a challenge for me, but this is definitely one of the most important ones. Going to bed at a decent time will allow you to get the proper amount of rest so you aren’t binging on iced coffee or crashing and falling asleep in your classes.

  3. Breathe!

    1. I am a person who gets easily overwhelmed, so sometimes I remind myself to just breathe, and literally take everything one step at a time!

I hope this helps anyone who is feeling super-stressed right now, just remember: you got this! Also, it’s almost Thanksgiving so you’re halfway there!
