It’s no secret that college is extremely stressful at times. How do I combat that? Yoga. Finding a workout that promotes health and stress relief while also being fun can be quite difficult at times. However, as an avid “yoga girlie,” I swear by Corepower Yoga’s 60-minute hot sculpt classes. The mix of a weighted workout, energetic music, and cardio, with a 10-minute stretching portion at the end, is a great feeling. Yoga allows me to establish a routine for my daily life, as well as find a safe space to unwind after a long day. With that being said, here are some products I swear by for my yoga sculpt classes!
1. THE ICEFLOW™ FLIP STRAW TUMBLER 30oz ($35)
Working out for an hour in a room that’s upwards of 90 degrees Fahrenheit is bound to cause some major sweat. To avoid dehydration, having a water bottle is key. Bringing a large, insulated bottle that keeps water cold throughout your class is an amazing way to stay hydrated and energized.Â
2. The Mat 5mm ($94)
A high-quality, non-slip yoga mat is crucial to have. Assuming you’ll be sweating, it’s easy to slip around, especially during the stretching portions of the class, so having a mat with a textured surface can provide extra grip. There may also be a mat-rental service at your studio if you happen to forget yours, but it’s always nice to have your own.
3. Yoga Mat Towel With Grip ($64)
There have been so many times when my yoga mat towel has saved me from falling over when conquering new poses. A towel placed over your mat can prevent slipping and absorb any excessive sweat.Â
4. Performance Conquer Headband ($28)
Keeping your hair out of your face is extremely important to remain focused in class and avoid injuries. Headbands are not only extremely useful, but they’re also very cute and can upgrade any outfit!
5. Duality Yoga Strap ($38)
Whether you’re walking to the studio, driving, or taking the bus, being able to roll up your mat before and after class makes it way easier to transport. Yoga mats can be a bit bulky and inconvenient to carry, so using a strap makes everything extremely easy to organize.
6. Yoga Mat Wash and Refresh ($12)
To promote personal hygiene and the cleanliness of the your studio, it’s important to keep your mat fresh and bacteria-free by using a gentle yet effective yoga mat cleaner after each session. It’s even better if you use a natural spray to deodorize and disinfect your mat simultaneously.Â
While these are my personal favorites, the beauty of yoga is that it can truly be for everyone. Once you become more comfortable with classes and gain experience, you’ll also find your own favorite accessories and non-negotiables to swear by!
