Healthy Halloween Themed Snacks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

Halloween is full of creative and amazing treats. Unfortunately, most of them aren’t things that a health conscious Collegiette wants to be eating day in and day out. Candy, cupcakes, and pies are all great, but what if I want to eat something spooky that isn’t going to make me feel like a monster from a horror movie? These healthy Halloween themed snacks are great for parties, or for your own goulish enjoyment!

Turn clementines or oranges into adorable pumpkins with a simple stick of celery,

or a Sharpie!

Grab some apples from the dining commons and some sliced almonds and make yourself a creepy pair of chattering teeth.

You can even use the same bag of almonds to turn carrots into fingers.

Adding some dark chocolate chips to banana halves makes the most adorable ghosts I’ve ever seen!

Have your candycorn and eat it too with this classic candy inspired parfait.

Finally, this is by far the best way I’ve seen to display guacomole. Give it a try if you’re feeling ambitious.

Happy snacking, Collegiettes!
