Sweat Your Way Into Summer with CorePower Yoga

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tufts chapter.

Looking for a way to turn stress into sweat? Only 5 minutes from Tufts you’ll find CorePower, a yoga fitness studio that specializes in hot yoga. The classes range from your basic hot yoga class to high-intensity cardio circuits. All of the instructors are passionate and enthusiastic, leading classes with their favorite energizing playlists. As a newcomer, your first week of classes is free. The classes are first-come, first-serve, and we recommend arriving 15 minutes early with a water bottle, yoga mat, and towel (all of which are also available for rent or purchase at the studio). Whether alone or with friends, CorePower yoga is the perfect way to change up your workout routine and destress while doing so. Here are two of our favorite classes, which we highly recommend checking out!

CorePower Yoga 2: CorePower Yoga 2 is the perfect blend between relaxation and strengthening. The class is both soothing and detoxifying while working your muscles and toning your body. This is a great way to take a break from your normal cardio or weight routine and give your body a chance to heal while still working your core, improving your balance, stretching, and breathing.

Yoga Sculpt: Yoga Sculpt reminded us of a spin class in the way that the music is loud and upbeat while the instructors shout encouraging and motivating words to enhance the cardio workout. This class is intense and energizing but also relaxing, leaving you feeling healthy and fit after each class. It incorporates weights as well as classic yoga poses and cardio, creating the perfect blend of exercise for a great workout. Yoga Sculpt was our personal favorite, as it can substitute for your complete daily workout routine.
