Eat Healthily
After the inevitable overindulgence of the festive period, you may be feeling a little sluggish and reluctant to get back into routine. Fuelling your body with fresh, healthy food is sure to improve your energy and happiness. Make sure you remain body positive, though, and focus on how you feel inside, rather than worrying what the scales say.
Practice Self Care
We could all take a little better care of ourselves, especially after the stresses of first term deadlines and an undoubtedly manic Christmas schedule. When is a better excuse than in the new year? Buy your favourite bath bomb, dye your hair the colour you’ve always wanted, or simply relax. 2019 is the year of self care, so jump on board!
Get Creative with your Music
Getting back into the swing of uni in second term can be challenging, so why not make it a little easier by refreshing your playlist? Simply adding some new songs, even finding a new playlist or podcast to listen to, will be the perfect therapy for those bus journey blues.
Try Something New
First term is always the hardest and, especially if you’re in your first year, you might be feeling a little anxious about getting back into it in term two. The good news is, it’s never too late to try something new and expand your horizons. It might be a society you were unsure of joining last term, or simply a personal hobby you’ve been thinking of trying… whatever it is, give it a go!
