As January draws to a close, we’re faced with the ghost of New Year’s Resolutions past, but while you may have fallen off the wagon, you don’t need to lose hope and write off 2018 as a whole. Here are five tips to keep you working towards your fitness goals!

1. Download an app

Yes, there’s an app for that. Check out the app store and find your inspiration. Some apps may guide you through your workout, while others just inspire you, so find what works for you.

Some popular apps include Aaptiv and Sweat with Kayla.

2. Download a movie/television show

Just because you’re working out, doesn’t mean that you can’t indulge in Netflix! If you’re lucky enough to have a gym with reliable wifi, then watch it however you like. But, if you’re trying to stream in Fike, try downloading a movie or television show on Netflix before you go. If you’re lucky, you’ll be so engrossed in your show that you’ll want to keep working out to finish it!

3. Get a workout buddy

There are so many reasons to find a workout buddy! They can keep you accountable and make the experience so much more fun. Whether you’re laughing by the treadmills or cheering each other on at the weights, you’ll thank yourself for bringing a buddy.

4. Prepare a playlist

The perfect playlist can get you through anything and when you’re jamming out, you can take on anything. Prepare your playlist before you get to the gym so you don’t have to waste time skipping tracks.

5. Schedule it into your day

If you really want to make working out a habit, pull out your planner! When you’ve scheduled in your workout, you’ll feel more obligated to go to the gym. When you know you have time, you can really get into your workout.
