After finishing her US tour dates on August 9th, Taylor Swift is bringing the magic of The Eras Tour to South America. After four memorable nights in Mexico City, Swift is now preparing to meet Brazil and Argentina’s passionate fans.

On June 2nd, the singer surprised her international fans by announcing eight concerts in four different Latam cities. The news were  a bit shocking due to the fact that Taylor only came to South America once, in a private concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Right now, the singer has already performed in Mexico, and even chose “I Forgot that You Existed” as the first surprise song, which swifties were quick to notice that may be Taylor calling herself out for never visiting the country in all these years of her career.

However, the big question now is: will the concerts be the same here as they were in the US? From what we saw in Mexico, I believe they’ll be very similar.

THE STAGE

To begin with, one of the biggest worries was if she would be able to bring the same stage, considering that American football stadiums tend to be bigger than soccer stadiums (which is more common here). Even though we can’t be certain if Brazil and Argentina will stay the same, in Mexico Taylor did bring the whole production, even including the dancers and the special effects.

SETLIST AND DURATION

Another thing we can expect to be the same is the show length. Many people were speculating if the setlist would change and if the concerts would also be 3 hours long here and, to our delight, Blondie didn’t change a thing. Not only are we going to have the same setlist, but we can also expect cute interactions in between songs, like her dancer saying “like, nunca” in Mexico, while she sang “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”

SPECIAL EFFECTS

Lastly, Taylor is bringing the whole magic to the latinos so don’t think we are not gonna get those iconic LED bracelets.

FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS

One of the cutest traditions the fans started is trading friendship bracelets during the concerts. and don’t worry, this is not exclusive to the US so you can “make the friendship bracelets”, people will be trading them here too.

Also, if you want to make it even more special, there are many internal jokes you can include that only Latin Americans will understand.

OPENING ACT

When compared to the US leg of the tour, the most significant difference is for sure the opening act. After putting icons like Gayle, Maisie Peters, Haim and others on multiple stages of The Eras Tour, she is bringing a brand new opening act for us, Sabrina Carpenter.

The fans have been loving the interaction between the two singers, so we couldn’t help but be happy when it was announced that Sabrina would be with Taylor on the Latam leg. Based on the Mexico performances, she sings about nine songs from her latest album “Emails I can´t send”.

SEATING CHART

Something else very different from the US concerts is the seating chart. First and foremost, there will not be any floor seating, at least not in Brazil, so even though you want to go with a nice outfit, don’t forget to prioritize your comfort.

TRANSPARENT BAGS

Since we are talking about outfits, you may be asking yourself about the “transparent bag policy”. In the US it is mandatory in stadiums to wear these types of bags, so the security can see what you have. However, it was pretty surprising when, a few weeks before the concerts in Mexico, Taylor announced it would also be mandatory there.

As of right now, we still don´t know for sure if Argentina will have to follow the same rules, but Tickets For Fun has already made a statement saying that this won’t happen in Brazil.

Now you know everything you can expect from The Eras Tour Latin America, so while we wait less than a month to see Taylor in latino lands, pick your outfit, make the friendship bracelets and listen to the setlist on repeat.
