So, I have never really been into working out, it’s just not for me. I struggled a lot with my weight as a child and bounced between chubby and fit more times than I can count. I danced from the time I was four until I was 14 and I swam for most of that time as well. Those were my main sources of exercise growing up. I ran for a while, but it was more recreational as I wasn’t able to join a track team at school. Once I got into high school and more of my friends were driving, I had no reason to walk or run everywhere so I slowly got more comfortable with my less active lifestyle.

I noticed about a year ago that I was having a lot of upper back and shoulder pain from stress, and I remembered that I used to always enjoy doing tai chi with my grandma and yoga with mom. I figured I’d try to find some yoga videos to help with the pain, and after the first few times I was hooked. I loved how loose and calm my body felt after a quick yoga session, or how good my muscles felt after a little pilates. Plus, it’s a great way to get me to sleep once I start getting comfortable.

Yoga has become my best stress reliever and I couldn’t imagine not having it as a part of my daily/weekly routine. It took me a while to find videos and channels that I really enjoyed, but I eventually created a playlist of about 30 videos that I use on a consistent basis. If you want to try yoga as a way to reduce your stress during the busy months leading up to summer, here are my top five favorite yoga channels:

  1. Yoga with Adriene

      2. PsycheTruth

      3. Blogilates

      4. SarahBethYoga

      5. BrettLarkinYoga
