This Is Your Sign To Build Your Bestie A Self-Care Box This Holiday Szn

Updated Published

One of the newest trends to break the internet is the viral Boo and Burr Baskets. These baskets consist of cozy and seasonal items that you can gift your partner, BFF, parent, or anyone in your life for that matter. It’s a great way of letting them know you’re thinking about them and want them to take some time for themselves before they burn out. Who doesn’t want a self-care gift box?

Not that self-care boxes were ever not in style, but they definitely are at the forefront of my mind as I brainstorm holiday gifts this year — and I think they may actually be the ultimate gift. You can go as big and extravagant as you want, but you don’t have to break the bank. Better yet, you can show how well you know the recipient by personalizing each item in the basket. In the end, they’re going to end up with multiple things that will encourage them to relax and take care of themselves.

While themes aren’t necessary when making a gift box, the hustle and bustle at this time of year can create a lot of stress, so here are some ideas to include in the perfect self-care gift box that promotes both physical and mental self-care.

Sherpa Blanket ($40)

This may seem basic, but I’m a big believer that you can never have too many blankets.

Essential oils ($15)

Whether it’s lavender, peppermint, or some other concoction, essential oils are a great natural way to help with headaches as well as other aches and pains in your body. Clearly an essential for this self-care basket.

Bath Salts ($29)

I know everyone usually grabs for the bath bombs, but I’m telling you that bath salts are the best way to elevate your evening soak.

Mindfulness Coloring Book ($8)

Pocket-sized and perfect for on-the-go, this coloring book serves as a reminder to be mindful in your daily life. Plus, who doesn’t love a little stress relief?

Loose Leaf Tea Sampler ($29)

Nothing beats a warm cup of tea on a cold day… tell me I’m wrong. This set from DAVIDsTEA has a flavor for everyone — and super cute packaging.

White Sage & Lavender Candle ($13)

BFFR, a self-care basket wouldn’t be complete without at least one candle. This one has all of those fun, self-care vibes, too.

Acupressure Mat ($27)

Not only can this help with tight muscles but it can also help with fatigue and stress relief. It’s basically magic.

Barefoot Dreams Socks ($15)

NGL, this is my favorite item on the list. Barefoot Dreams makes the coziest socks in the game, and your bestie is sure to love them.

Affirmation Cards ($12)

Sometimes self-care isn’t just about our bodies but our minds too and affirmation cards can be a great way to recenter yourself and tackle whatever is bothering you.

Wellness Journal ($30)

Journals are an amazing way for someone to connect with their thoughts and feelings. Papier’s Wellness Journal is full of prompts, check-ins, and other activities that promote mindfulness.

Chillhouse Gift Card ($25)

I know retail therapy isn’t technically therapy but it certainly doesn’t hurt — so why not give the gift of a self-care experience? Chillhouse has tons of self-care home decor, body care, merchandise, and even events that are perfect for the wellness lover in your life.

Magnesi-Om ($38)

Meditation you can drink: What could be better? Moon Juice’s Magnesi-Om is not only delicious, but a great way to incorporate magnesium into your diet for better sleep and reduced stress.

No matter who you’re shopping for this holiday season, a gift box, specifically a self-care gift box, is always a safe way to go.
