Probably Raven from Teen Titans, because who doesn’t want psychic powers? I mean, you can really do ANYTHING with psychic powers, including (but not limited to) flying and throwing things at people. Raven is also super dark, mysterious, and sassy, which gives her kind of an edge that has always captivated me.

Starting the wave at iHop. Twice. (Two times.)

I look for a guy with a goal. Someone who’s driven and passionate about what they love. They have to appreciate good food; I need a foodie. Height is a plus, but I don’t discriminate.

Name: Felipe Montealegre
Year: 2015
College: Ezra Stiles
Major: Economics
Hometown: Managua, Nicaragua

I met Felipe on a summer program three years ago, and I can assure you that this Campus Cutie is just as charming as ever. Over lunch, Felipe showed me pictures of his family (he called his Mom “beautiful”), and shared his upcoming summer plans working in New York City. Read on to find out about why Latin Americans are so much sexier and why getting caught in a snowstorm might sometimes be not such a bad thing from this Her Campus cutie, Latin American edition.

What do you miss about Nicaragua?
I miss that at home I could go have beer with my friends from like 3pm to 9pm. The attitude over in Nicaragua was that people were a lot less productive, and they really care mainly about talking to their friends and having a good time. It’s a very relaxed place, and Yale definitely isn’t as relaxed. It’s fun here too, but I miss these parts of Nicaragua.

Favorite study spot: Secret room, I won’t say where.

If you had a look-alike, who do you think it would be? Antonio Banderas in “Zorro.”

How would your friends describe you?
They would say I’m absentminded, friendly, optimistic, to the point, and talkative.

If you could live anywhere after Yale, where would it be and why?
The south of Argentina is beautiful, in Patagonia. It’s cold. It’s dry. There is no snow. There is the ocean right near by, and it feels kind of peaceful. I guess I could ride a motorcycle, maybe a slow one though.

Why are Latin Americans so sexy?
A thousand reasons! We’re always in a good mood, chivalry is important to us – we’ll be charming to your mother. We like to enjoy life more. We’re better dancers. Latin Americans laugh more, and don’t take themselves so seriously.

Top 3 restaurants near Yale – Sushi on Chapel, and Crown 116, which has the best tenderloin I’ve had in the US. (Every single tenderloin I’ve had in Nicaragua is the best one). And, of course Ay Arepa on York Street.

Last movie you saw: “Side Effects”

Celebrity Crush: Rooney Mara, but just the way she looks in “Side Effects.”

What’s your philosophy on love?
I don’t know how qualified I am to answer this question. I’m quick to fall in love, but quick to fall out of love.

Ideal date: Driving somewhere and getting caught in a snowstorm for at least 10 hours. That’d be a good first date, you really can get to know someone.

Most romantic spot at Yale: Hillhouse Avenue, especially the upper part past the bridge. Charles Dickens and Mark Twain called it “the most beautiful street in America.” What’s not to love?

Yale girls are the best because… they’re smart, pretty, and great to have long conversations with.

Pet-peeves: Internet fights and bad body odor. Maybe smelling good is a privilege. I’ve checked it, I’m privileged. Please buy deodorant.

If you could invite anyone to dinner, you would ask: Oscar Wilde. There’s a guy who knows how to have a good dinner party.

HamDel decides to name a sandwich after you (what’s it called and what’s in it): The Mandelfood White Cheddar Sandwich. It’s just a bag of Smartfood with my face on it in between two slices of sourdough bread.

Favorite HUDS meal: Gotta be that Korean Barbecue.

Describe yourself in three words: Joking, reliable, considerate.

If you could be a superhero, which one would you be and why?
Are you saying I’m not a superhero?  I guess my mom has been lying to me this whole time.  I’d have to pick Spider Man.  Besides the fact that he can cruise around New York City on his webs, he’s handsome, strong, smart, saves the day, and always gets the girl.

What are you involved with on campus?
A little bit of this and that.  Most of my time is split between playing center-back for the Men’s Club Soccer team and singing and acting in various shows around campus.  I also gotta pay the bills, so with the rest of my time I work for the Harvard College Consulting Group and the computer help clinic in the Science Center.

What is your favorite Harvard memory?
Playing all-out tackle football on the Quad Lawn during Nemo earlier this semester.  Soccer is and will always be the real futbol in my heart, but being from southern Texas, snow is pretty new to me and it was perfect for some classic ‘Murican football.

What do you look for in a significant other?
I appreciate someone who is considerate, empathetic, and is aware of how the people around her feel.  That being said, I also like a girl who knows how to relax, joke around, and have a good time.  That’s the sweet combo for me.

What is your best physical trait? Definitely my butt.

This week’s Campus Cutie is living proof that chivalry isn’t dead – except instead of riding in on a white horse, he’ll come to your rescue on his skateboard. Nolan Burger is a charming coffee-lover who wouldn’t be afraid to go skydiving on the first date.

Speaks: English, Italian and a little bit of German
Extracurriculars: Undergraduate Assembly College Rep, Penn Cru, CSSP, IRUSA
Relationship status: Single and ready to mingle

Celebrity crush: I’m a big fan of Emma Watson, but if things don’t work out with Emma I’d love Samantha Barks (Éponine) from the Les Mis movie.

What’s the first thing you notice about a girl?
How she treats other people…waiters, waitresses, strangers. It tells me a lot more about her personality than I can learn from how she treats me.

What do you look for in a girl?
A good blend of humility and self-confidence, selflessness and an adventurous spirit. She should also have some sort of athletic ability or appreciation for sports or competition.

What do you find most appealing about Penn girls?
They’re not afraid to have big dreams and aspirations and are actually taking steps to reach them; it’s a lot more attractive than someone who’s all talk.

Perfect date: I’d like to do something that neither of us has done before. It gives us a chance to bond over a shared new experience, whether it’s a restaurant, a show or even skydiving.

Do you believe in soulmates?
Nobody’s perfect so it follows that people can’t be perfect for one another, but I believe that the right people can still find each other. Selfless, unconditional love can be both beautiful and tangible despite human flaws.

Do you believe in love at first sight?
Not really. Attraction at first sight, sure, but I think love involves knowing one another really intimately and that just can’t happen in one short interaction. Unless you’re freakishly good at communicating through eye contact…

If you could be anywhere right now, where would it be?
I would love to be at a coffee shop somewhere in Europe, socializing and meeting new people.

Favorite pick-up line: I lost my number, can I borrow yours?
Describe yourself in three words: Spontaneous, inquisitive and ridiculous
Dream vacation: A cruise around the world

Name: Jenner Fox
Year: 2014
College: Branford
Hometown: Palo Alto, California
Major: Cognitive Science

Between bashful smiles and moments of modesty, Jenner Fox presented himself as the quintessential Yalie with a set of diverse interests. While Jenner has a love for soccer and an attachment to his varsity team, he spoke about his passion for folk music with the same admiration. Despite never having met him before, this Her Campus writer gathered that Jenner Fox has all the qualifications of a true Yale sweetheart… and by the way ladies, he’s single.

Favorite part of Yale life: Of course I love my [soccer] team…we haven’t necessarily had the best few seasons but it’s been totally worth it because of the guys—in fact that was one of the aspects of Yale that drew me in. The team seemed like a real family and having a close community is important to me.

Apart from that, I really love Tangled Up in Blue, my folk music group. It’s crazy how much folk music really reaches people. The members are all quirky and honestly I never would have had the opportunity to go out and meet any of them if it weren’t for this group.

How did you get involved in folk music?
My dad plays the mandolin, and we used to have family folk music gatherings at night…I guess you could say it runs in the family genomes?

Favorite Song: I would say that my joke answer is “If I Die Young”…but actually the answer has a ring of truth to it. The soccer team’s pregame ritual is to listen to that and Taylor Swift, so the song really does have a place in my heart.

Nicest thing you’ve ever done for a girl: (Jenner’s modesty totally took hold here—the answer required some prodding but eventually Her Campus got the sweetest answer out of him!)
During my high school years I used to go to “Strawberry Music Festival,” a folk music festival in California. I met a girl one year who I fell madly in love with from day one. There were hippies and flowers and an overall feeling of love around—it just wasn’t my fault! The downside was that she lived really far away and after the festival she had to leave California. I wrote a song for her after she’d left called, “Hattie’s song.” Some time later it just so happened that she was able to visit and in the time preceding her visit I was so excited! We’d kissed one time at the festival and I was just waiting for another kiss like that from her. When she finally came I played the song for her. She was so excited that she grabbed her mom and made me play it again. Then her mom was so excited that she grabbed Hattie’s grandmother and made me play it a third time. But the upsetting part of the whole story? I never got my kiss.

Ideal Date: I want a girl who’s funny, honest and just completely real. Oh…and liking folk music would be a huge plus. We’d go swimming in some body of water and…um…grab some food? We really would just have to laugh a lot.

Fun Fact: I haven’t shaved my beard since senior year of high school! I mean of course I’ve trimmed it…

Favorite Party Theme: Jorts and Jackets…you know like Jean shorts? Everyone looks good in shorts!

Embarrassing moment at Yale: Tangled Up in Blue was playing a show at Slifka. I was singing this emotional song and all of a sudden I just forgot all the words. So, to compensate, I made up words. Someone had to join me in harmony and just started laughing because the words I’d made up were so absurd—and then everyone in the room started laughing. Now the whole group makes fun of me and it’s become an inside joke that I’m the one who forgets song lyrics.

Yale girls are best because… They’re substantial people—they have a lot to them and they have drive. Actually they’re just all smarter than me, which is great.

This week’s cutie is a Spanish-American who hails from Tucson, Arizona. An econ major and an entrepreneur at heart, he started a company that automatically builds corresponding websites for Facebook club pages. This accomplished senior appreciates a woman who can have fun and make the best out of any situation.

Name: Vincent Sanchez-Gomez
School: College
Major: Economics
Extracurriculars: Penn Singers, Penn Sailing, Entrepreneurship
Hometown: Tucson, Arizona
Birthday: May 24th
Zodiac Sign: Gemini
Relationship status: Single
Celebrity Crush: Jessica Alba

What do you find most attractive in a woman?
Open-mindedness. A girl who is willing to have fun doing anything and who is open-minded towards people and experiences. The kind of person who can have fun no matter what is happening.
Least attractive?
Snobbiness. A girl who doesn’t want to hang out with a certain type of person or group and only wants to go to exclusive places? That bothers me, and I find it pretty unattractive.

Perfect date: The perfect date is not about what you do, but the person you’re doing it with. It’s about the girl and the chemistry. If anything goes wrong, we make the best of it. Any date can be the perfect date if you’re with the perfect girl. [Ed. Note: Awwww!]

Favorite pick-up line: “Wow, you’re so beautiful you made me forget my pick up line.” I’ve never actually used that, by the way. I just like the idea behind it. I think it’s funny.

If you were a food what would you be and why?
I would be one of those long tasting menus because I have a variety of interests. I can be serious, and I can be fun. There are a lot of different sides to me. No one dish can encompass my whole personality.

Cocktail of choice: A Manhattan. I can’t exactly say why, I just really like Manhattans.

Most listened-to song on your iPod: There is no one song I listen to on repeat. It’s pretty much just Pandora playlists. I like dance music, jazz and classical.

Penn bucket list: I want to try as many different good Philadelphia restaurants as I can before I go, and I want to spend time with the people I met freshmen year and didn’t keep in touch with. I’d like to party with them before I graduate.

If you were trapped on a desert island with one thing, what would you want?
A manual on how to survive on a desert island. I could live a simple life on a desert island, so long as I could just survive.

Favorite quote: I’m not sure if this is the quote or an extrapolation, but “life is too short to waste any time doing something you’re not totally in love with.”

Name: Anthony Day
Nickname: Dayzer
Year: 2015
College: Silliman
Major: Political Science
Hometown: Buffalo, NY

Chances are good that if you’ve been at a Yale hockey game in the past two years, you might’ve spotted our Campus Cutie, Anthony Day, skating away. And he is even more charming off the ice. Luckily, we were able to snag an entertaining interview—needless to say, I was left utterly charmed.

Fun Fact: I’m a really big golfer. I’m the only one in my family who golfs. A lot of my friends golf, and I went to the Yale golf course this summer.

Favorite…
Food: I really like sushi, maybe Chipotle… (Pauses) But sushi probably.
Party Song: “Days Don’t Fade” by Lindbergh Palace
Party Theme: Tang. I like being outside.
Team Tradition: We go to Myrtle every year.
Place on Campus: I love Old Campus. Last spring, we grilled out there for a week straight. The weather was beautiful. Old Campus is great.

How’d you get started with hockey?
I started when I was like 4 years old, it was a birthday party at a rink. That was the first time a skated. (Smiles) And, I just took off from there and I don’t remember my life without hockey…I’ve always played hockey, my whole life. I just got progressively better, the older I got, and then I ended up here.

How do you like playing at Yale?
I’m loving it! Obviously, they guys are my best friends, so to be with them everyday is great. The alumni are great, and the rink is probably one of the best rinks. It’s so unique. Our home games are the best thing. I love playing at Ingalls, and the crowd is awesome, so it’s always great to play there. We’ve done well the last couple of years, so it’s always good to be nationally ranked. And it’s a great opportunity.

You must really love playing hockey here. Do you want to go pro after Yale?
I would love to, but I definitely came here because of the education…If the opportunity arises, of course.

On a typical day at Yale, you’d be…
Usually I’d get up, go to Wall Street, get breakfast. I get a coffee, go to class, and then I’m at Ingalls from 4-7, and then hang out with the guys. Pretty boring. I spend a lot of time with the team.

What about during the weekend?
Other than playing on Fridays and Saturdays, I guess… (Pauses) I don’t know…

…at first, Anthony hesitates. But after some prodding, he opened up…

Yeah, we go to Box a lot! I’m also at the hockey house. It’s pretty standard every weekend.

How’s dating at Yale?
It’s alright, nothing really crazy.

What does this mean? I couldn’t help but ask if he’s single.
I’m single–Single as you can get, probably.

Ideal date: I would say, something summery. Ideally, going to the beach.

Any Valentine’s Day plans?
Note: The interview was conducted right before Valentine’s day.
(Laughs) Traveling with my friends to Union. We’re going to be on the road!

Maybe some fans will give you something.
That’d be nice (Smiles)…

What’s your go-to move with a girl?
I usually take them somewhere. I usually just talk.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve done for a girl?
Hmm, I don’t know. (Pauses) In the fall, this one girl fell and went to the hospital. It was late at night after Toad’s…but I went to the hospital to visit her that night.

Yale girls are the best because…
They’re definitely unique, beautiful and very smart.

Your advice for Yale girls?
Loosen up a little!

This patriotic stud is only a freshman at Cornell, but as a member of NROTC – that’s N for Navy and ROTC for Reserve Officers’ Training Corps -, he already has the necessary leadership skills and sense of duty to make any man crush-worthy. He joined NROTC because he missed the lifestyle after his dad retired from the Air Force: the commitment to serve his country and defend our freedom has always been a part of Josh’s life. But when he’s not performing his duties as class leader, doing drills or community service in NROTC, Josh can take you sailing or engage you in a rousing game of lacrosse, soccer, or paintball. According to Jenna* ‘12, Josh deserves to be this week’s Cutie because he is “intelligent, buff, disciplined, responsible and goal oriented! Not to mention he’s a fan of being a mile high…” She means that Josh’s favorite thing about his naval career is flying fighter jets! Although it might be safer to keep “joining the ROTC mile high club” off of your Big Red Ambition to-do list, do let your heart take a dive for this dedicated Dare Devil!

Fun Facts=

Why NROTC?
My dad was Air Force, and when he retired I missed the lifestyle. I also wanted to serve my country by risking my life defending the freedom that we have. I actually applied to Air Force and Navy ROTC, but the Navy offered me full tuition no questions asked. I respected that and took the Navy scholarship.

Proudest Accomplishment: Earning 10% of the total scholarship money awarded at my school while getting into Cornell and NROTC

How do you spend your summers?
I spend as much time at my cottage jet skiing/boating on the St. Lawrence as possible. I also have NROTC training for month during the summer, which involves being active duty on a ship or on land learning about how the Navy works.

What do you look for in a girl?
Attractive, intelligent, and a good friend.

Best things about Cornell: The location, difficult classes, and the new friends I’ve made

Which of the 161 Things are you most looking forward to?
17. Go to the Fuertes Observatory on North Campus and gaze at meteor showers

Thoughts on Charlie Sheen?
Charlie Sheen is all over the news because he’s a celebrity drug addict, while Andrew Wilfahrt 31, Brian Tabada 21, Rudolph Hizon 22, Chauncy Mays 25, are soldiers who gave their lives with no media attention. There are more important people than Charlie Sheen, a lot more.

Career Prospects: Fly fighter jets in the Navy, then retire from the military and fly into space for a private space flight company.

Favorite color: Dodger Blue!

Favorite movie: Wow that’s a tough one. I am a huge movie/tv fan, so it’s near impossible to pick just one. As far as movies go, I like the past greats like The Godfather, Star Wars, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and The Graduate. I am a Clint Eastwood fanatic, though, and anything with him in it I tend to love. Most recently, Gran Torino became one of my Eastwood favorites.

Favorite tv show: For tv, I would have to say The Sopranos above all else, but Seinfeld is a close second. As far as current shows go, I watch NCIS, Fringe, Dexter, and Shameless. However, no show is better than sitting down and watching a Dodger game.

How does it feel to be nominated? Flattering

What activities/extracurriculars are you involved in?
I just recently founded the Princeton Sports Industry Club. We are in our first year now, trying to bring in guest speakers from throughout the sports industry. We are still learning all the processes needed to put on events, but I am sure it will be an exciting year for all PSIC members. For the past two years, I have also participated in intramural basketball and plan to do so again this year. As a hobby, I enjoy creative writing. For my senior project in high school, I wrote an add-on to the Mark Twain classic, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I put a copy of it on my website (adamesquer.com), so check it out if you’re interested.

If you could bring 3 things with you to a desert island, what would they be?

A lifetime supply of Sour Patch Kids

The title has long and deservedly belonged to him: Brandon Levin, the darling of the Yale Class of 2013.  As of recent elections, it looks like Mr. Levin will be joining the Yale Whiffenpoofs.  Should he decide to take the next year off, Yale has the pleasure of Brandon’s effortless, boyish charm for yet another year.

Rapid-Fire Question Round
Favorite Song: “Cry Me a River” by Michael Buble
Favorite Boy Band: Backstreet Boys
Favorite Musical: Les Miserables (Naturally, Brandon has also played the role of Marius before.)
Favorite Place: Queenstown, New Zealand.  I went there last spring with the Spizzwinks.  It was amazing.
Favorite TV shows: I’m not much of a TV-watcher, but the West Wing, Brothers and Sisters, and ESPN.
Favorite joke: Anything self-deprecating, really.

At this point, I noticed a subtle black cast on Brandon’s right hand.  It turns out that our YCC President, a huge fan of the Lakers, is also a basketball player.  Brandon fractured his wrist shooting hoops about a month ago.  And, with that, we moved on to the harder-hitting questions…

Most Treasured Possession: A watch I got when I graduated from high school.  My grandfather also wore it to his wedding. (Sadly, Brandon was not wearing the watch to the interview.)

Spirit Animal: Horse! (Note: He said this without a moment’s hesitation.  It was the quickest, surest response of the entire interview.  Take this as you will.)
Spirit Color: “Blue.”

Greatest Indulgence: Brandon had a bit of trouble answering this one for me. Fortunately, it so happened that one of his suitemates was in the Davenport Common Room at the same time.  According to his suitemate, “women” are Brandon’s biggest indulgence at Yale.

Most Overused Word: Ostensibly; it’s terrible, but I use it all the time.  How he manages to do this, I don’t know.

Greatest Fear: Snakes!  Could this be connected, in some deep-seated, Freudian way to his spirit animal?

What a charmer.  If you want to see Brandon singing in one of the greatest musical roles of all time, he will be performing as Tony in a Yale production of West Side Story in April. Trust us, you will not want to miss it.
