ICYMI, Lana Del Rey Is Starring In SKIMS’ Valentine’s Day Campaign

Kim Kardashian has done it again, spoiling the public with yet another iconic photoshoot for her SKIMS shapewear brand. Only this time, she’s gifting us Lana Del Rey in a heart-shaped box for her new Valentine’s Day campaign. Embracing Del Rey’s Americana aesthetic, the coquette-esque photoshoot features bows and soft pastels, creating a perfect combination just in time for the season of love.

Fans have been speculating all week over the possible collaboration between the two women after Del Rey posted a SKIMS box captioning it with, “Warning: things are about to get crazy… For a long time.” The rumors were then proven true with Skims announcing the opening of their online Valentine’s shop and select retailers on Jan. 23. Offering an array of thongs, sleep sets, and loungewear, the collection spans a price range from $16 to $126.

In an interview with Vogue, Del Rey talks more about the collaboration and her relationship with Kim. She confirms that this campaign happened through a mutual friend. “[Kim’s] friend Tracy Romulus asked if I’d be interested in doing a campaign,” Del Rey says. “So it all happened at the exact same minute, which I took as a serendipitous sign. And I said, ‘Yeah, absolutely.’ I didn’t really hesitate. Me and my girlfriends were pretty excited, actually.”

This campaign comes right after Del Rey’s Coachella headliner announcement and with the slew of Grammy nominations on her belt, it’s safe to say that 2024 is set to be one of her most exciting years.

And of course, the Internet wasn’t short of excitement after the photos were released.

Naturally, calling her beautiful wasn’t enough.

I mean, who could blame them?

Everyone let’s just thank Kim Kardashian and Nadia Lee Cohen for getting these right.

Well, I guess I know what I’m buying myself for Valentine’s Day!
