Be Your Own Muse With These Last-Minute Julia Fox Costume Ideas

Pop culture icons are a fan-favorite when it comes to Halloween costumes. You can channel your inner T-Swift in honor of the recent Midnights release, or even grab your partner to rock an Elvis and Priscilla costume. However, if you’re anything like me, you get wrapped up in midterms and life, and the next thing you know Halloween is coming in a few days and you have nothing to wear. Thankfully, some of your favorite pop culture stars just require some makeup and clothes in your closet to pull off a killer look, such as queen Julia Fox (you know, the one who is both Josh Safdie’s and Kanye West’s muse).

Fox had a fast rise to fame when she got a breakout role in Uncut Gems, dated Kanye West, and walked on runways alongside other well-known celebrities. Though her resume was starting to fill out, her name truly started circling when she became the face of viral memes. Fox has embraced her sudden status, meme or not, and started making a name for herself on her own terms. She doesn’t hold back from eye-catching fashion statements or from speaking her mind on TikTok, creating an intrigue and admiration from fans for her authenticity. The internet can’t get enough of her, and rightfully so.

Whether it’s her meme-worthy quotes or bold eyeliner looks, Fox is easily recognizable and is the life of the (Halloween) party. Be your own muse this Halloween with these six last-minute Julia Fox costumes.

Uncut Gems interview

If you were debating dressing as your favorite meme this Halloween, this is your sign. You might recognize Fox’s voice from the viral Call Her Daddy TikTok sound “I was Josh Safdie’s muse when he wrote Uncut Gems.”  This confident energy can be easily channeled with Fox’s podcast outfit of a simple black v-neck and gold hoops. To really sell the look, carry around some gemstones and make sure to put emphasis on your vowels while speaking. Next thing you know, you’ll be saying “uncuh jaaamz” all night long.

“I did it myself… yeah” moment

As I said, Fox is the queen of meme-worthy quotes. When asked about her bold eyeliner look in a Vanity Fair red carpet interview, Fox simply said, “I did it myself… yeah.” In true Fox fashion, the interaction was slightly awkward, but entirely iconic, and of course, went viral.  If the “uncuh jaaamz” meme wasn’t your style, try this look with bold graphic eyeliner, a black halter dress, and, well, a fake hand around your neck. The fake hand isn’t required, but if you want to go the extra mile, you can use a black glove to recreate the unique accessory.

Bold eyeliner makeup look

A costume doesn’t have to be clothing. Makeup-only costumes allow you to transform yourself into whoever you want to be, and in this case, transform yourself into one of Fox’s many stunning eyeliner looks. The beauty in Fox’s looks is that they have no rhyme or reason — just let your creative hand guide you.

Canadian Tuxedo

Not only does Fox create trends, but she also brings them back. Leave it to her to make Y2K Canadian tuxedos look cool again and even effortless while running errands. This last-minute costume just needs your favorite pair of jeans and a jean jacket. Britney Spears would be proud.

Denim jacket and matching undergarment set

Ms. Fox does what many of us are afraid to do, aka go grocery shopping in our underwear. If you’re feeling like showing some skin this Halloween while also recreating an unforgettable look, grab your go-to matching undergarment set and throw on a denim shacket. Fox didn’t stop there though. The look was paired with a tote bag that was essentially upside-down jeans, so recycle your jeans from the Canadian tuxedo look and turn them into an accessory.

Her Uncut Gems look

Fox might just seem like a quotable icon or Kanye West’s ex, but let’s not forget she’s an actress too. Her breakout role in Uncut Gems came with looks that can be easily replicated, and are cute enough to wear past Halloween. In one of the final scenes, Fox wore a maroon leather skirt and a ‘70s mod print blouse that is both casual and easy to throw together when you have no costume planned.
