Early 2000’s Hits You Need On Your Workout Playlist

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

My entire workout playlist is compiled of “throwbacks” and I thought it would be fun to share some fun song recommendations, that you might have let slip your mind. I should note, this list is not limited to the gym atmosphere, it’s also great for just jamming out, so get out your headphones! Also this is no particular order, I’m a fan of all these suggestions.

1 . Black Eyed Peas

“Imma Be”, “Don’t Stop the Party”, and “Don’t Phunk With My Heart” are probably some of my top Black Eyed Peas Songs when it comes to “throwbacks”.

2 . Timbaland

“THE WAY I ARE”! Love this one! And, of course, “Promiscuous” with Nelly Furtado!

“Like a G-6” was a bop back in grade eight and it still holds up today!

4. Akon

“Smack That”

5. Ray J

“Sexy Can I” listen to this song on repeat?

6. Rihanna

“S&M”, “Rude Boy”, “Only Girl”, “What’s My Name”, “SOS”, to name five. Old Rihanna songs are a go-to.
