Ever feeling super lazy and unmotivated? Are you absolutely dreading going to the gym and creating your own workout for yourself? I have the perfect solution for you! There are so many options for fitness classes available in the Burlington Area. Fitness classes are a great way to motivate yourself and get your body moving. It is scientifically known that participating in group workout classes significantly reduces stress and is more effective to your overall quality of life. I don’t know about you but whenever I workout in a group, weather its a group of my friends or a group of complete strangers, I always feel more empowered, motivated and energized. Keep reading to learn about a few of my fave places to get my workouts done!

  1. Rev Indoor CyclingRev is one of the first group fitness classes I went to after hearing so many of my friends rave about how awesome it is! At Rev they mainly focus on workouts performed on stationary bikes, but they also offer Rev-X classes which are workouts designed off the bike that involve strength circuit training and conditioning. For Rev cycling classes, you’re set up in a dark room with blue low dim lights which is great if you don’t want everyone to see how much you’re about to sweat! Rev is great because the classes are designed so that you are in complete control of your workout. You decided your pace and resistance on the bike while the instructor encourages you to push it to your max, like all good teachers do ;)

Oh! And I almost forgot to mention, they offer great student discounts!!

  2. Orangetheory Fitness Burlington: If you’re looking for a calorie burning – high energy demanding workout, Orangetheory is the place for you. Orangetheory consists of a one hour class guided by professionals coaching and assisting you the entire time. Orangetheory also has a unique OTbeat technology that measures your heart rate and performance data that acts as evidence of your hard work. If you have a competitive side to you… (and let’s be honest who doesn’t) the Orangetheory classes are great because the heart rate monitor allows you to compete with not only your peers but also with your own personal best records. From exercises on the rowing machine, strength on the floor and sprints on the treadmill you’ll never be bored with this fast pace moving class. The state of the art heated studios provides their customers with the most effective and therapeutic fitness class they can find. If you’re not sweating from the moment you walk into the room, you’re most definitely sweating out any stress or worries you had by the end of the class. My favorite class is the Inferno Hot Pilates Class because I’ve honestly never sweat so much in my life! Personally, I think pilates is an underrated workout that doesn’t receive enough credit.
