All summer I said I was going to cook at home, or at least watch my mom make dinner, or learn how to make a few simple easy things… and did I do that? No, of course not. So here I was first week back at school a full kitchen and no real idea how I was going to make this work. So Pinterest and my roommate came to the rescue and we haven’t starved… at least not yet. Here are some fun (and super easy) recipe ideas that we tried out!

Homemade Pizza

Tomatoes & Basil were super cheap at Market Basket and pizza dough is something you should always have in your freezer, add mozzarella and Italian seasoning and you just made a better pizza than Dominos.

Apple Sauce Cake

Of course the inevitable sweet tooth set in so we decided to try this easy recipe and it was one of the best cakes we’ve ever tasted…plus it wasn’t even that bad for you.

Roasted Chickpeas

This is definitely a more adventurous recipe but chick peas are good for you, and inexpensive. Add whatever seasoning you like best and you have a filling lunch that’s a lot better for you than a bag of potato chips.

Spaghetti with Homemade Meatballs & Biscuits

We had beef we needed to use after Taco Salad Tuesday so what better to make to celebrate the awful humidity going away than warm comfort food.
