Walking

Walking is a great exercise to get your steps in and your heart rate up. Power walking on the treadmill or an incline is a great way to burn calories without breaking out info a run. Plus, it will give you a nice booty, which we all want! Another great way to get your steps in is walking instead of driving or public transportation. I try to walk to work when the weather allows, so I can count it as my workout for the day.

Yoga

Not only is yoga great for working out and toning your body, it is great for your mental health, too. Yoga can be relaxing and used as mediation, or it can assist with strength and balance.

Barre

Barre is a combination of ballet and pilates. It requires no cardio (we love that), and focuses on strengthening your core, gaining balance and building muscle. If you are trying barre, get ready for squeezing your glutes and core, some shaky legs and maybe falling over a few times.

Dancing

Not in the mood to hit the ground running? Try dancing it out! I love to look up dance cardio videos on YouTube and learn a fun dance. It is a great cardio workout and a great way to get your heart rate up. Dancing does not feel like a work out, but it sure does get me sweating!

Swimming

With summer around the corner, swimming is a great way to get some exercise in. You could start a membership at an indoor pool, or go for an outdoor pool day and take a couple laps when you get bored. Swimming is a great way to burn some calories and cool off on a hot summer day.
