This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

If you’re still holding on to the few extra pounds you gained throughout the school year, the idea of showing your belly at the beach this summer might seem slightly horrifying. Don’t fret! Even though summer is just around the corner, these tips will allow you to drop the excess in your stomach and model your bikini with pride.

  1. Eat whole grains, such as whole-wheat bread and oatmeal. Stay away from white bread and cornflakes!
  2. Eat more protein! It’s said to lessen abdominal fat.
  3. Stay away from meats and cheeses because they are high in fat and have lots of calories; focus on health-packed vegetables instead.
  4. Make sure to get ample amounts of sleep!
  5. Try to focus on exercises that involve lots of cardio such as jogging, swimming laps, and crunches to burn the most calories.

Get ready to strut your stuff in the sand this summer with these helpful tips on trimming stomach fat and saying bye-bye to your belly! Good luck on finals, collegiettes™!
