Exams are right around the corner, and right now is the time to prepare yourselves for the weeks to come. Maintaining self-care is an extremely important aspect of your life, especially when life gets busy. Here are a few ways to take care of yourselves prior to the beginning of exams and during exam season as well.

Sleep, sleep, sleep!

Getting at least eight hours of sleep every night is crucial! Studies have shown that a good night’s sleep results in better retention of information, and also keeps you in a good place mentally. If you’ve been studying all day and night, put the books down and catch some Z’s!

Take a Break

Studying all day and all night can get extremely tiring. Don’t keep yourself locked up in the confines of your room or the library – take a break every so often. Staring at a screen or at books all day will make you even more tired, so take some time to go on a walk and get some fresh air to give your body a little break.

Stay Organized

Cramming assignments and studying to the last minute is something we are all guilty of, but it shouldn’t always be the case. If you plan ahead through an agenda or a calendar, it is likely you will remain on top of your deadlines and stay organized! The last thing you want during these busy weeks is to stress your body out even more. Take the extra time and schedule in all tasks that needs to be done, so that you can stay on top of everything!

Good luck studying! The finish line is so close!
