Social Media is the one place where you can find out information about anything and everything in the world today. And if you’re not active on social media people are shocked and confused about how you find out what is going on in the world. With this comes positives and negatives. Social media, although amazing, comes with side effects.

With everything at our fingertips and the ability to see what someone is doing at all times of the day, social media can become a place of toxicity. This is where mental health comes into play. Getting sucked into the rabbit hole of looking at people’s profiles can make you feel bad or underwhelmed by society. Especially right now during a time of uncertainty and loneliness among college students who are stuck in dorms or apartments, mental health is extremely important.

I thought I’d share a few Instagram accounts that post daily reminders to give you that boost of confidence or pat on the back you need. Yes, some are cheesy, but when you’re scrolling through your feed why not stumble upon accounts that are rooting for you and can relate to your real life?

My favorite Instagram accounts that always make me feel ten times better are:

@ohverlee

@selfcarespotlight

@justgirlproject

@peopleiveloved

All of these give me new, positive outlooks and always make me smile when I have bad days. I hope y’all find one account that works for you and happy scrolling! :)
