While we are still living in the COVID-19 pandemic, many gyms and exercise programs are weary to reopen. The sharing of machines, weights, and mats has become a huge issue with the reopening of gyms and public safety. Here are 5 workouts and health tips for every situation you might find yourself in this semester.

Silent Cardio

Working out in your room? Don’t want to disturb your neighbors or those living below you? Try Silent Cardio! This type of workout gets your heart rate up as normal cardio would, without the loud jumping around. This routine created by Cassey Ho for her Blogilates program and is a silent but deadly workout!

Yoga

Yoga all day, every day, literally. The monthly yoga challenges created by Adriene from Yoga with Adriene is perfect for beginners and advanced yogis. Each month Adriene releases a calendar and yoga exercises to complete for each day. She also has a theme for each month to help ground yourself and work your mind while calming your body. You can subscribe to Adrienne’s YouTube and check out her website https://yogawithadriene.com for more information!

Meditation

Feeling restless and need something that can instantly calm you down? Try meditation! Meditation is a technique that helps train attention and awareness, mental clarity, and promotes a emotionally calm and stable space. A great app for those who are just starting out meditation is Headspace. The app was crated by Andy Puddicombe and was launched in 2010 and has users in more than 190 countries. It is free to download in the app store and try out the Basics course.

Cardio

If Silent Cardio isn’t your thing, I would suggest going on a run. Running around campus gives you a fresh of breath air while helping get your steps in. The Run Experience youtube has coaches that will take you along a variety of different runs and workouts. It is the voice of motivation in your ear while pushing through your workout! They also have a free mobile app with all their training content!
