Healthy Ways to Beat Stress

It’s come to that time in the semester where your stress may be overwhelming you. Finals are quickly approaching, fall registration is a constant concern, and no one has any money left from the semester. With that said, don’t let your stress consume you! Here are some easy ways to keep stress at bay and get through the last few weeks of the semester.

Drink tea.

Tea is soothing and calming, so you’ll start to relax once you have some. Yogi Tea in particluar is an awesome brand because they have a type of tea for every need. Stressed? Try Kava Stress Relief. Can’t fall asleep at night? Soothing Caramel is for you. Need a metabolism or immune system boost? Try Green Tea Blueberry Slim Life. Tea is a healthy beverage sure to calm your nerves and make you feel super zen- plus it’s good for your health! You can find all of the above mentioned flavors here!

Go to the gym and work out.

Not having access to a gym is not an excuse. Pinterest, Youtube, and many blogs are filled with creative workouts you can do in the comfort of your own room- no equipment required! Find a few that spark your interest and do them everyday to blow off some steam and release those endorphins! Not only will you chemically make yourself feel better, but you’ll work off your stress in the progress. Plus, you’ll actually start working on that “summer bod” you’ve been promising yourself for years now… Which is what I call a bonus!

 

Pamper yourself.

Head over to Target, Ulta, Sephora, or Lush and stock up on some princess-worthy products. You’d be surprised at the quality face masks and bath bombs you can get without breaking the bank. Once you pick up those face masks, bath bombs, luscious lotions, and bubble bath oils- treat yourself to your own little spa day. Perhaps you could pair this with a vanilla scented candle and a glass of wine. Unplug and unwind while giving yourself some much needed TLC! 

Plan out your time.

Life gets hectic; and some days it seems like there’s a never ending list of things to do and deadlines are struggling to be met. Buy a cute planner and put it up in your room so you can write out different things you need to finish by the end of the day. If it’s in constant eye sight, it’s almost impossible to overlook! Make sure to schedule in time to eat, shower, and even just relax so you get moments to breathe throughout your super crazy day. 

 

Take vitamins.

When your body is under a lot of stress, your immune system is much weaker- a.k.a more inviting to germs and sickness. Stock up on Vitamin C gummies or tablets to keep your defenses up. Nothing is worse than getting sick on top of being stressed or becoming more stressed because your sick!

Don’t fret, you’ll get through this semester just fine. You will meet your deadlines, pass your finals, and get into all your classes. Follow these tips and you’ll be sure to keep your stress levels from raising through the roof. Best of luck!
