12 Easy Ways to be Proactive During the Season of Sickness

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Portland chapter.

Right around Dead Week and Finals Week, a lot of people start getting sick and not just sick of studying. To make sure you beat the bug, follow these 12 helpful tips.

1. Take a jacket with you wherever you go. You never know when the temperature will drop or when you’ll get caught in the rain.

2. Try to eat as healthy as you can. Just remember if you put crap into your body, your body will feel like crap.

3. Avoid alcohol. It’ll only make you feel worse if your immune system isn’t at its best.

4. Try a humidifier or diffuser and some essential oils.

5. Stock up on tissues.

6. Keep hand-sanitizer available.

7. Take a water-bottle with you wherever you go. Drink water as much as possible!

8. Try to take daily vitamins or some sort of immune booster.

9. Get a plant for your dorm, to cleanse and promote oxygen production.

10. Get plenty of sleep. Try setting a bedtime goal.

11. Clorox (DOOR HANDLES). Swiffer your floor and make sure you disinfect everything.

12. Wash your hands, clothes and dishes on a regular basis.
