It’s no surprise that TikTok has truly taken over as a social media platform. Recently, they’ve even entered the online shopping world with its very own TikTok shop. The shop is very similar to SHEIN and Amazon, as it features all sorts of different products with daily discounts and great deals. Some of the products they offer range from fashion, beauty and personal care, home and kitchen, arts and crafts, and much more.
I bought a few beauty items off of TikTok Shop for an early Black Friday deal. Let me just say, the deals were insane. I bought a Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump which retails for $24.00, for only $7.70. What’s great about buying this product off of TikTok’s platform is that the product is sold directly from the Tarte Manufacturer, so you know that the product is legit.
In addition, I also purchased the Elf Cream Glide Lip Liner and the NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip. Similar to the Tarte lip product I purchased, these two lip products came directly from the Elf Cosmetics and NYX manufacturer. These two products were actually discounted because TikTok discounts items if you meet a minimum purchase amount. What’s also really nice is that if you spend $20 or more on the shop, you get free shipping, even though your products are likely to come from several different manufacturers.
The one complaint I have about TikTok Shop, however, is that their tracking feature can be inaccurate depending on the product you’re purchasing. For the Elf lip liner and NYX lip oil I purchased, the tracking feature on the TikTok app showed that they’d been delivered. However, the package didn’t actually come until a few days later. In addition, the Tarte lip product I purchased never updated the tracking information after a few days, so I just had to keep checking my mailbox to see if it had arrived.
Overall, I would say my experience was pretty good with purchasing off of TikTok Shop. It’s a great platform to purchase products off of if you want incredible deals on brand name items. Just be sure to watch out for your package closely, since the tracking feature isn’t always reliable.
