First Time Cooking? Here are Three Easy Recipes to Master this School Year

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MSU chapter.

Cooking on your own can be intimidating if you have no idea where to start. Here are a few recipes that are very easy to make and are extremely delicious!

Breakfast Tacos

Breakfast Tacos sound like they’re extremely difficult, but they’re not at all! It’s a perfect blend of breakfast + Mexican cuisine. Check out this recipe that is a classic.

Burrito Bowls

If you love Chipotle as much as I do, you know that it can be very expensive. Luckily, burrito bowls are actually very easy to make at home!I love this recipe from Gimme Delicious. I made this last week for my roommate, and needless to say, it was a hit.

Garlic Butter Pasta w/ Vegetables

My roommate is very much a fan of buttered noodles, but I wanted to kick things up a notch. In a pan with some oil, I threw in two cloves of minced garlic, some cut up tomatoes, a handful of red onions, some cilantro, and a fourth of a red bell pepper. I let it cook until the onions were soft, and then I added my already cooked buttered noodles to the pan. While everything cooked, I added a pinch of basil and a lot of oregano (I tend to like a lot of seasoning, but it’s up to your personal preference!. This meal turned out so good and took me a total of 10 minutes.
