5 Ways to Stay Busy if You’re at Home for Spring Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MSU chapter.

Sometimes, it’s nice to use your break to save some money and hang out at home with your family. If you’re home for spring break this year, here are some ways you can make the most of your time!

Go skiing with your family

So you don’t necessarily have to go skiing, but a great thing to do is take advantage of the time you have at home with your family. Spend some quality time together and make the most of your week-long vacation.

Watch movies

One of my favorite things to do is cuddle up with a blanket and have a movie marathon while I’m home. Pick out a few movies, pop some popcorn and get watching! Maybe watch some of the Oscar winners from the most recent Academy Awards.

Sleep!

Spring Break is a great time to catch up on some much-needed rest. Use this week to relax and recuperate before we head back to school.

Hang out with friends

If you have friends who live nearby, spend some time catching up! Go shopping, get food or binge-watch the latest shows on Netflix with some gal pals.

Read a book

Take this opportunity to read something just because you want to — not because it’s on your class syllabus. Pick up a book you’ve been wanting to read, make some tea and get lost in a novel for a while at home.

No matter how you decide to spend your time, take advantage of being at home and gear up for the rest of the semester. Have a great break!
