With the full moon taking place every 29 days and the new moon beginning, change is happening. While I have only gotten into manifestation recently, I have found it to be the best way for me to accomplish my goals and dreams.

To clear up a few things, a new moon in astronomy is the first lunar phase, when the moon and sun have the same ecliptic longitude. At this phase, the lunar disk is not visible to the naked eye, except when silhouetted during a solar eclipse.

A cycle of the full moon holds a spiritual and energetic pinnacle of whatever you started when the sun and the moon united at the new moon. There are eight lunar phases the moon goes through in its 29.53 days lunar cycle. The four major moon phases are full moon, new moon, first quarter and last quarter. Between these major phases, there are four minor ones: the waxing crescent, waxing gibbous, waning gibbous and waning crescent.

If you are like me and love journaling, then this is the best way to complete this ritual for you. You could also do water or smoke rituals, it just depends on how you would like to set your intentions.

Moon Wishes Manifestation Ritual

Set 20-30 minutes out of your evening to complete this ritual.

Materials: journal, paper, pencil, box or jar, candles and matches

Be creative!

How to begin:

  • Start by lighting a candle or two, focus on becoming present and letting go of everything spinning through your mind. Use this time to begin focusing on your breathing.

  • Spend a few moments thinking about what you want to release during the next moon cycle and what you want to call in.

  • Take your paper and write down the things you want to manifest. Go with your instincts and visualize what you want to take place in your life over the next month – these are your full moon wishes.

Once you have gone through these steps place your wishes somewhere special: in a decorated box or roll it up and place it in a jar, and then set it outside to soak up the moonlight.

In the morning, bring the wishes back inside and place it somewhere you will see it daily. Each evening, or as often as you need, take a look at your list and reflect.

With each new moon you can set new intentions or rededicate the intentions you had set.

By rewriting your list with fresh paper you can disregard any wishes that no longer feed your soul and add new things that will be fulfilling. Try to not get in the habit of simply scratching out the items you no longer desire and adding the new stuff to the bottom of your old list. You don’t want the energy of clutter and sloppiness messing up the path meant to deliver new energies into your life.
