Rupi Kaur & Mental Health: How You Can Find Solace in Poetry

Did you know that women are 2 times more likely to be diagnosed with anxiety and depression as compared to men? In general, the subject of women’s health doesn’t get very much attention, let alone our mental health. In an attempt to normalize the discussion around mental health, many art forms- such as poetry- have began touching on the subject. One of my favorite poets, Rupi Kaur, has a great selection of poems that you can turn to in any situation. From feeling anxious and depressed to hopeful and strong, you can find a sense of comfort and community when reading her work. Here are just a few of my favorites:
