Affirmations for when you are stressed out

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at KCL chapter.

It is leading up to the time of the year when assignments are due, exams are approaching, and when everything can feel a bit overwhelming. From having days of rest, exercise and balanced diets, it has come to study, stress and sleep-deprivation. Affirmations are a great way to stay motivated but most of all: a great way to love yourself. I love coming up with affirmations that I can say to myself; either in front of the mirror or even just in my head.

Here are five positive phrases which are quite effective!

1. I am peaceful, I am powerful, I am exactly where I am meant to be.

2. I am faced with this challenge because I am capable of overcoming it.

3. I am grateful for all that is good in my life.

4. I am letting go of all my worries and fears and filling myself with confidence.

5. I can do this, I will do this.

Affirmations aren’t just for times when you are not in your best phase; self-care is rewarding even when you have done something positive. So love yourself!
