Listen to Some Good Music

Put on a playlist of your favorite tunes. Nothing can quite turn around a mood like music and few things are as easy to do. Let yourself get lost in the rhythms, feel yourself leave your stress behind.

Watch an Episode of your Favorite Netflix Show

Whether you are crying from tears or laughter or because your favorite character was just killed off, you can escape your own reality for a bit and will feel refreshed and relaxed once the episode ends.

Exercise

What better way to feel better than literally release endorphins into your body! Release all the stress that you have pent up by sweating it out!

Take a Walk

Take a break from everything that is stressing you out and just walk away. Take some time to remove yourself from everything else and slow down, allow yourself to take in your surroundings, pay attention to the details of everything you pass by. Literally, take the time to stop smell the flowers. When you return, you will do so with a clear mind and a calm heart.

Do Something Creative

Sing a song. Draw a picture. Color in a coloring book. Make up a dance. Write a story. Cook a meal. Any of these options will allow you to take your mind off of whatever is worrying you, and express your inner passions. Step away from structure and stress and redirect all your pent-up energy into something inventive.

Hang out with Friends

Sometimes you can’t solve all your problems yourself. Hang out with your friends and vent about whatever has been causing you stress. Getting all of your frustrations and worries out can be super relieving, especially with friends who have your back. You will have a chance to sort out your thoughts and they will definitely reassure you are valid and remind you of the bright side. Or talk about anything else! Let yourself forget about your stress and have a fun time with friends doing whatever you love to do. Either way, after spending some time with your friends, you will be feeling a lot better.

Treat Yourself to Something Sweet

Eating something you enjoy can be a real mood booster. Let yourself kick back and indulge, it won’t be long before you start to feel your stress slip away.

Take a Nap

Working really hard and stress can be seriously exhausting. Sometimes the best thing you can do is let it all go, and escape from the world for a bit. Reboot your system with a short nap and wake up re-energized and with a new frame of mind.
