Exercising can often be a gruelling process, and at times terribly mundane; running on the treadmill for 30 minutes can be really uninspiring and can lead you to give up on your workout. So how do you fuel your motivation? As someone who is currently training for a marathon and thus spending a large quantity running, I have found that music is the key to maintaining a positive attitude. So here at HCX we have decided to bring you the top ten best running songs to listen to, which will keep you in the right frame of mind throughout your workout.

1.  Cinema (feat Gary Go) – Benny Benassi

Blasting through your headphones, this song is bound to make you feel on top of the world with its fast pace and catchy lyrics, you’ll never want to stop!

2. I’m in Love (I Wanna Do It) – Alex Gaudino

A club classic that is sure to make you pick up your speed

3. Welcome to the World – Kevin Rudolf & Kid Cudi

With its upbeat melody, this one has become a personal favourite; a really good one when you’re struggling as it really picks up your mood.

4. Lights – Ellie Goulding

With its constant heavy beat, it is really easy to get a pounding rhythm going with this one.

5.  Still Standing – Hilltop Hoods

A light, jazy song that will have you bouncing along with ease.

6. Tonight – Danny Byrd feat Netsky

Perfect for a really intense session, this track will get your head in the zone and keep your sense of determination at an all time high.

7. L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.ON – Noah & The Whale

Now although this might seem like an odd choice, you might be surprised. I often find I get so caught up singing along to this one that I forget I’m running

8. Ain’t No Party – Orson

A good oldie to keep you in positive spirits.

9. I Could Be the One – Avicii & Nicky Romero

A massively good track to keep you motivated through the hardest parts of your workout.

10. Troublemaker – Olly Murs

So much rhythm and atmosphere to this one makes it a definite top ten!
