Do you ever think of going to the gym and immediately want to take a nap? Or the thought of cardio makes you want to cry?

Going to the gym and hitting the weight room or the Stairmaster is not for everyone, but that doesn’t need to stop you from getting a good workout! Pilates is your new secret weapon.  Many people don’t believe that pilates can give you a very good workout, and I promise the people who say that have probably never tried it and experienced how sore you can be after a day of BootyBarre.

There are so many crazy benefits to starting a pilates workout routine. It is a great way to tone and tighten every part of your body and it really helps with body awareness.  Much like yoga, pilates has a huge focus on breathing. Focusing on your breathing can help with distressing and relaxation. Pilates increases flexibility and can improve your overall posture. Pilates is also great for people who have has past injuries because it uses mostly your body weight and is done on a mat so there is minimal jumping or sharp movements. There are also tons of options when it comes to picking a pilates class, so there is a right fit for everyone!
