One of the greatest luxuries nowadays is not jewelry, cars, or clothes. It is the silent omnipresent: time. Whoever has time nowadays is considered a privileged person, even quite superior. Money is not left out of this discussion. It may be hard to notice, but money and time go hand in hand, especially in todayβs world.
selling our time
It becomes clear when analyzing society. Many people work hard for hours focusing on financial return. In other words, people pay for our time in exchange for work, or, better saying, we sell our time in exchange for money, so that we can survive.Β
This logic forces us to dedicate many hours of our day to job demands. And have you noticed that many of those said workers end up becoming unhappy with the routine they live? It is from this and several other reasons that the popular sayingΒ was born: βmoney cannot buy happiness,β but it does buy time.
People in better financial situations tend to have more free time. Whoever has money, has time. The so-called cleans/ fitness girls became very well known in recent months. They show their exercise, food, and clothing routines, such as going to pilates at 10 a.m. To be able to do this activity at that time, means this person does not work, or at least not on a regular schedule (unlike the majority rest of the population).Β
In simple words, these girls are examples of those who have time, because they do not need to be at work at 10 a.m. on a random Tuesday. And why?Β Because they already have financial stability.
Freedom, or the lack of it…
Money does not buy happiness, but it guarantees that you will have the freedom to enjoy your time however you want. Many people are forced to be in the office in the morning, while others have the freedom to choose to go to the gym or go out for a walk at the same time. Work is not an obligation, they own the time they have. Lack of money is limiting, it limits your choices and your routine.
Time itself has become a privilege. Lucky are those who do not have to sell it. And, without realizing it, peopleβs success comes from the fact of whether they are financially privileged or not.
