It’s that time of year again. Football season is back (!!!) and I couldn’t be more excited. There’s nothing better than waking up on game day, getting ready with friends, and seeing everyone’s cute little outfits in the stands — it’s basically New York Fashion Week for me. When it comes to football season, tailgating is a must. Honestly, the tailgates can be even more fun than the actual game!
It’s time for everyone to add tailgating photos to the flood of game day pics in your Instagram feed. And now that we’re back to college, your Instagram game has got to be strong! For the girlies who need some inspo, I’ve compiled a list of 20 captions for your next tailgating pics, so that you don’t have to.
1. “Wait, how does football work again?”
Fair warning, you might be met with some mansplaining in your comments or DMs. But this one is for the people who never know what’s going on (that would be me).
2. Your College’s Catchphrase
If you’re tailgating a college football game, this caption choice is a classic. “Roll Tide,” “Hail to Pitt,” “We Are,” “Hail State,” the possibilities are truly endless. Join the cult of college football by showing off your school pride!
3. The final score of the game
This would be a little awk if your team lost. But if they won, show it off!
4. “(Opposing team) is in their flop era🥱”
Don’t be shy, drag them.
5. “This is now a (@ football team) fan page”
Fan behavior at its finest.
