Torrie Walker is a proud writer for the Howard Chapter of HerCampus with a passion for storytelling and communication. A journalism major from North Carolina, she is hoping to use her skills to highlight important issues and give a voice to those who are often overlooked.
Outside of academics, Torrie enjoys spending time with family, whether it’s baking with her mom, laughing with her sister, or playing with her mini schnauzer, Nyla. These simple moments bring joy and creativity into her everyday life. When she’s not writing, you can often find her curled up in her favorite blanket watching old 90s TV shows.
Looking ahead, Torrie hopes to combine her love for writing with her desire to make a difference in the world. Her goal is to share stories that inspire empathy, spark understanding, and encourage positive change.
