Hello! My name is Sydney Smith and I am a Freshmen at Southern University and Agricultural & Mechanical College, however, I have received 72 college credit hours from Tarrant County College while I was in high school. I majoring in Business Management and I plan on applying to Southern University’s law center once I graduate with my Bachelor’s degree. Most of my life, I lived in Grand Prairie, Texas where I attended Mansfield Early College High School and received my Associates degree. I am currently serving on the writing committee for this chapter of Her Campus. Due to my interest in attending law school, I am a member of the pre-law society on Southern’s campus as well as being involved in the Student Government Association. My purpose in joining Her Campus is to grow as a writer and gain some experience in marketing. At my past college, there were not any organizations like Her Campus that focused on writing articles, marketing and community service. One of my favorite things to do while in high school was community service and I am glad that I found a group that prioritizes it. I am very excited about becoming a member of this chapter at Southern University!
