Shomita Mahmud is currently a fourth year at the University of Virginia, majoring in Media Studies on the Pre-Law track. She is Bengali and grew up in Northern Virginia, but was born in New York.
Outside of Her Campus, Shomita is involved in various other cultural and networking organizations such as Bengali Student Organization and Peer Advising Family Network.
In her free time, she loves reading and binge watching shows, as well as spending time with her friends and family, which usually involves getting a sweet treat.
