Hey, I am Kaitlyn Riedel, a first-year at Colgate University and I am originally from southeast South Dakota. I am undeclared on a major, but I plan to minor in Spanish and Global Public Health Ethics along a pre-Med track. Emergency medicine is definitely what I am hoping to specialize in.
I intend to write about current events, a day in the life, updates on clubs and activities, song recommendations, and hopefully more.
My activities during high school included being a medical member (EMT) on my volunteer fire department, playing both club and high school soccer, joining HOSA, Politics Club, Environmental Club, The Lynx Lookout Newspaper, and SALSA. I held three jobs where I was a soccer referee, a concessions worker at the local dirt track, and a trained caretaker for children with complex medical histories.
So far, I plan to continue my writing with Her Campus. Priorly, I have worked in the News section of my school newspaper and that is what I plan to continue with while exploring new, fun options. Currently, I am a part of Her Campus, Democracy Matters, Public Health Initiatives, Club Soccer, Baking Club, and more!
