16 Best Crystals For Manifestation & How To Use Them

Manifestation is the practice of using intentional wording and a strong belief in yourself to bring about a positive development in your life. This can be anything from a pragmatic career goal, like making more money, to a larger aspiration for your relationships, like finding love in your life. There are certain crystals for manifestation that can help you believe in your ability to change. Learning which are the best ones and how to use them might encourage you to realistically visualize your dreams.

Whether you write a journal entry addressing your dreams while holding rose quartz or you use affirmations to emotionally encourage yourself and carry a citrine with you throughout your day, anyone can take part in this spiritual practice. By knowing what crystals are good for manifesting, you’ll be able to combine your intentional visions as a beginner with the power of the stones.

Sometimes believing in the abstract power of manifestation is difficult, so associating it with a physical object can make the experience more realistic and grounded. You project your goals into the stones, instead of out into the air where the manifestation might not feel as tangible. Hannah Pierce, tells Her Campus, “If you can picture what it is you want to manifest whilst you hold your crystals, and keep your mind free of distractions, you’ll find that the crystals will be far more effective.”

How to use crystals within manifestation rituals

Some practices are as simple as wearing one of these stones as a necklace and carrying your manifestations with you throughout your day, while others are as complex as aligning your manifestation with the moon cycle for a stronger connection.

Courtnay Francis, a crystal medium, certified advanced crystal master, and spiritual mentor certified in Reiki, believes in the power of a simple ritual. “Working with crystals should be fun, so there’s no need to overcomplicate things especially as you’re starting out. As you get more comfortable, you can add in your own unique flair and create a more complicated ceremony,” she says.

For a straightforward ritual, Francis recommends starting with choosing a stone that immediately draws your attention. With the rock in hand, grab a piece of paper and write your manifestation clearly. “Then hold the paper and your crystal to your heart until your whole body feels the energy of the intention,” says Francis. When you’re done, place your piece of paper underneath the crystal. “Keep the energy of your intention strong by reading your intention out loud each day and placing it back under your crystal.” The more you make this practice a regular habit, the quicker you might start to see progress in the goals you set for yourself.

Sabrina Scott, a spiritual teacher with experience in witchcraft, tarot, and manifestation, says manifesting is just connecting with our intentions in an unbiased way, envisioning the life we want to live. Scott encourages the practice of small but deliberate manifestation rituals everyday to see impactful results. “I would recommend utilizing crystals during a regular prayer, creating a vision board, an occasional relaxing bath, and lighting candles on the full and new moons with your intentions in mind.” Focus on incorporating your manifestations into every aspect of your life; this is when Scott says you will start to sense a difference.

Does manifesting really work?

There are hundreds of minerals and gems, each capable of supporting a different aspect of your life. Any one you find yourself drawn to has the capability to support you in your manifestation journey, and some crystals have specific visualization qualities. But how effective is this practice, really?

When it comes to manifesting, you can’t just write down a goal, hold a stone and make a wish. You have to authentically believe that this dream can actually happen. You have to believe in the power behind your intentions, as well as the capability of the crystals. Francis says to “show gratitude for what you are trying to manifest as though it were already real.”

Use wording in the present tense: “I am so lucky to be working at my dream job. My romantic partner brings so much joy and happiness to my life. I am so proud of myself for getting a 4.0 this semester.” By visualizing these manifestations as if they’ve already materialized, you’ll be able to trust in yourself and your ability to grow. Some dreams might take longer than others. Just believe in yourself, put in the work, and changes may come.

Ready to take your dreams to the next level? It’s time to figure out which crystals you should add to your collection.

1. Citrine

If you’re scared by your bank account balance, you can manifest financial success using citrine, AKA the “merchant stone.” Shaun Duffy, a mystic writer, psychic medium and eclectic green witch, says citrine is the ideal stone for manifesting money. “Working with citrine helps to attract success, wealth, gain, and as it holds the power of the sun, it imparts pure joy. Citrine teaches us to look at things with light and positivity, and good things will come,” Duffy tells Her Campus.

Citrine is very powerful, so use an affirmation that promotes a belief in financial security like, “I have the power to create the success and build the wealth I desire.”

2. Amethyst

Amethyst, primarily associated with obtaining a deeper sleep, can also help you manifest calmness and an even mind. “If you’re prone to over-indulgence or over-excitement — including anxiety — amethyst is a great choice. It’s also thought to help be protective against negativity, so if you’re worried about jealousy or the evil eye, it’s a great stone to work with to help prevent any ill effects of other peoples’ bad energy,” Scott says. If you’re trying to approach your college life with a little less anxiety, amethyst is perfect for attracting peace.

3. Clear quartz

Francis says clear quartz is the fairy godmother of all crystals in the way that it can help you manifest pretty much any goal. “Clear quartz has the energy of amplification so it will increase your thoughts, emotions, and desires. You don’t have to worry about its properties because it comes as a blank slate. You can use it to manifest love, prosperity, a vacation, or more time in your day,” Francis tells Her Campus. There are no limits to this amplification stone. Don’t hold yourself back, bestie.

4. Tiger eye

Wishing for a new dream job? Manifest professional success with tiger eye. Natalie Grace, founder of Crystal Aura Tarot and an Akashic tarot reader, spiritual guide, and crystal reader, says tiger eye is essential for manifesting career goals. “Tiger Eye is great for manifestation rituals, as it provides strong energetic protection, confidence, and laser focus,” Grace tells Her Campus. So if you’re struggling with the job application process, turn to tiger eye for guidance.

5. Topaz

Topaz can bring beauty and creativity to a front in your life. If you’re an artist experiencing burnout, you can use topaz to manifest new growth. Pierce says topaz is ideal for acknowledging self-worth and the beauty within yourself. “Topaz creates beauty and joy, especially in times of creative drought, so if you’re struggling to feel confident or assured with your work, make the topaz part of your manifesting crystal collection, set your intentions clearly and the natural powers will get to work,” she says. Topaz can allow you to reacknowledge the artistry you already possess.

6. Jade

Jade is one of the oldest and most trusted stones for manifestation. According to Francis, people have been using jade for ages. “Working with jade, you don’t need a specific intention in mind. You simply may find that things are looking brighter than before,” she says. She adds that it’s “a wonderful stone for students,” and that if used properly, “you may find your hardest exam is suddenly open-book or that the person ahead of you in line paid for your coffee.” Jade may be the ounce of good luck you’re missing in your life.

7. Carnelian

If you find yourself on #WitchTok, you might have heard of carnelian. Shanise Spruill, a certified holistic health practitioner, believes that carnelians can help connect us to our sacral chakra, the chakra associated with sexuality and emotional processes. “This chakra is connected to the passion within us. Manifesting with carnelian crystals allows us to tap into our passions, and can help us manifest desires that are truly connected to who we are, pushing the envelope on things we didn’t know we could do or want,” Spruill tells Her Campus. If you’re trying to manifest a more open-minded sex life, try believing in the power of carnelian.

8. rose quartz

One of the most popular beginner crystals for manifesting love and self-love is rose quartz. Courtney Allen, a lunar witch, says rose quartz promotes unconditional love and peace, as well as personal growth. “Working with this stone will help us reach deep and bring forth inner emotional healing. Rose quartz is a very calming stone to employ in times of trauma,” Allen tells Her Campus. Try including this self-love affirmation along with your rose quartz: “I keep my heart open to accept all the love that comes my way.”

9. green aventurine

If you’re trying to approach your everyday life with a sense of prosperity and positivity, green aventurine is for you. According to Duffy, green aventurine will act as a sucker-punch to negativity. “Green aventurine helps to turn a bad situation around,” she says. “It also helps stabilize the mind, promotes empathy, and helps to boost creativity, rendering it a stone that reinforces qualities of leadership and opportunity hunting.”

10. Labradorite

Is a friendship causing you confusion and anxiety? Are you debating whether or not you should hook up with an ex? Labradorite can help you understand what’s holding you back and how you can grow as an individual. Spruill says this crystal combines imagination and wisdom. “Imagination and wisdom help bring manifestations to life,” she says. “Using labradorite to tap into your hidden thoughts and seek internal answers can help push our manifestation towards fruition.”

11. Honey Calcite

If you’re looking to escape a flood of bad experiences and negative emotions, honey calcite could just be your new best friend. Francis tells Her Campus that honey calcite is a high vibrational stone, meaning it’s capable of initiating positive change and can add sweetness to every aspect of your life. “This stone is uplifting, creating happiness and raining blessings wherever you go. Set big, miraculous intentions when working with honey calcite,” says Francis. If you want to take the next step in your long-distance relationship, or you want to gather the courage to get bangs, honey calcite is your girl.

12. obsidian

Manifesting protection over your energy is just as important as managing positivity. Obsidian can protect your dreams from negative thoughts. Kristine Ovsepian, M.A., a certified hypnotherapist and life coach, says that obsidian has cleansing properties. “Obsidian cleanses all negativity out of your auric field and environment and has powerful grounding frequencies,” Ovsepian tells Her Campus. You can use obsidian to manifest safety not only in your physical space, but mental as well. So whether you’re trying to create a zen of safety in your apartment, or keep your mind from feeling an overwhelming amount of negative thoughts, obsidian can provide an overall sense of safety.

13. Malachite

Not all manifestation practices are for gain, whether material or emotional. If you’re trying to let go of something or someone that no longer furthers your purpose, look to malachite for support. Malachite is the stone of transformation, giving you the courage to break up with your toxic partner, or set a necessary boundary in a friendship. According to Ovsepian, malachite is the heart stone: “Since the heart center is key in receiving, malachite helps clear the energy around you to receive positivity gracefully,” she says.

14. Moonstone

If you find yourself commonly experiencing multiple emotional triggers in and out of your sleep cycle, moonstone might be the calming element your thought practices need. Allen says that because the moonstone is blatantly connected with the moon and intuition, this is the perfect manifestation material to utilize for attracting change before bed. “Moonstone brings receptive and passive energies to our work and in dreams, allows recall and comprehension,” Allen says. Try putting this crystal somewhere close to your bed to keep your manifestations close to your heart while resting.

15. Celestite

Another mineral connected to the power within the moon, celestite is often a perfect match for moonstone. Celestite can help you manifest a spiritual awakening or a clearer communication between yourself and your affirmations. Allen says, “Celestite is an excellent stone for spiritual enlightenment, stimulating clairvoyant communication, promoting dream recall and out-of-body journeys. Celestite balances and aligns us with our higher purpose, while simultaneously maintaining harmony and deep inner peace.” Before bed manifestations can be quite powerful, especially on a night of a full or new moon. So place your moonstone and celestite on your bedside table and trust in the power of your manifestation.

16. Rhodochrosite

Rose quartz’s spiritual sister, rhodochrosite represents self-love and compassion, encouraging positivity and spiritual enlightenment. “Rhodochrosite is an excellent stone for those struggling to feel loved in both platonic and romantic relationships, and it is a premier crystal to use when healing from trauma and learning to recognize painful lessons without re-traumatizing,” Duffy tells Her Campus. If you’re trying to learn how to open yourself up to a new romantic connection after traumatic experiences, rely on the combined power of rhodochrosite and rose quartz.
