But where picturing yourself standing in the place you’d like to be probably formulates relatively easily, how often have the steps you need to follow to get there flashed past you after the fact? But building a five-year plan doesn’t need to be difficult; in fact, it can be as easy as setting up an informational interview with someone who’s already been where you want to be – something you can even do from the comfort of your own home or with the help of a mutual connection – to find out what steps they took, what you can replicate of their journey and where you need to deviate. It just takes a little bit of effort on your part.

Virgo:
Virgo may be naturally inclined to be ever-changing, but their strong pull towards productivity and perfectionism will help keep them on track where it matters most. “Virgo thrives on analysis and strategy to make things work,” Furiate says. “Although a Virgo’s five-year plan may morph from year to year – only to make the plan better – Virgo loves nothing more than to accomplish a set-out goal and to finish a task.” It may not look exactly the same at the end of the period, but they’ll get where they need to go.
Capricorn:
If there’s anybody who will fight you to reach the top, it’s a Capricorn. “The best way [for them] to reach the top of anything is with a solid road map and strategic outline,” Furiate says. “Capricorn wants and needs to outshine its competition, and the best way to do so is with a well-planned and methodical blueprint.” It’s the only way to accomplish the copious and hefty goals that they have set for themselves. Once they do, they can start over by building out the next five years. Nothing else will be nearly as exciting for them.
