Combining a holiday and fitness camp is a great idea for a summer retreat.  Here are four that sports blogger, Lauren Carbran, is dreaming of doing…

1. No 1 Boot Camp: from £850

This week-long boot camp in Ibiza is situated in a spanking new villa retreat. The programme consists of tough military style exercises and yoga in this gorgeous Spanish setting.

On a typical day, you will hike to The Godess Island with a guide to learn core stability exercises and team activities. Yoga is taught once a week and there are also extra yoga sessions available.

Take time off and explore the island, filled with adventurous sporting activities and countless beaches and a busy nightlife.

What’s more, the boot camp has been recommended by Vogue and Zest for being one of the most luxurious fitness retreats.

2. Trimmer You Boot Camp – from £795

Trimmer You invites you to Marbella where the luxury five-star accommodation will have you entranced with its mountainous surroundings and landscaped gardens.

With up to 10 hours of training per day, you’ll be doing HIIT Training, X Fit, Boxing/Boxercise training, Hiking, Core training, Aqua Aerobics, Beach activities, military training, strength and conditioning, circuit training and many more.

Your villa, which you will share with fellow boot campers, features an indoor and outdoor pool, spa and sauna, tennis court, air con, hot tub and sky TV and wifi.

Trimmer You wants you to relax as well as work out, which is why the villa offers an all-inclusive experience. As you hop off the plane, you won’t have to worry about any food and drink, you’ll have your own chef at the villa who has already planned your diet and you’ll be able to relax in luxury.

Trimmer You has been voted the best boot camp in Spain. Her Campus wants to go right away…

3. Fresh Start Thailand Fitness Boot Camp – from £768

During your Fresh Start Thailand Boot Camp you’ll stay at a lavish lodge with a bedroom view of palm trees, a pool and natural wildlife.

This programme is intense as you will be active for most of the day. Results are no less than outstanding and the company balances classes like aqua gym and pilates with adventurous sports such as mountain biking daily.

Each room has satellite TV, air con, safe, fridge as well as a daily maid service.

You’ll eat your meals at the award winning Radiance restaurant on site, which features vegetarian, meat, vegan raw and healthy Thai food from our organic farm.

At Fresh Start Thailand, making sure you get time out to relax is the number one priority.

Who says you can’t look great while you work out? Fresh Start Thailand has a beauty and hair salon as well as The Bamboo Spa. The traditional Thai steam room and massage facilities mean you can unwind after a gruelling day.

4. Boot Camp Abroad: from £695

Boot Camp Abroad is located in a 200-year-old hotel in Tenerife which is surrounded by pine forests and National Parks.

The aim of Boot Camp Abroad in Vilaflor Tenerife is to get you onto the right path to improve your fitness and health for life in just seven days.

This is a scheme that will be catered to you individually. The trainers will work at a level which suits you and accompany you on your exploration around the breathtaking Tenerife.

You’ll hike up the surrounding mountains and have classes on the beach, in the gym, dance studio, beside the pool and in the boot camp garden.

The nearest beach is a 25-minute drive so you’ll be encouraged to spend some quality time there.

All of your food will be freshly cooked by the chef who is there to cater for all your needs and goals.
