These 3 Signs Are In For A *Ride* This Sagittarius Szn

It’s time to enter our fire sign era. In Signs Of The Times, Her Campus gets all of the dirty details about the signs directly from astrologers. Today, astrologer Charly King shares how Sagittarius season will impact the zodiac signs.

As we begin our holiday preparations, the coinciding Sagittarius season quickly approaches, as well — and, oh, are we all in for a treat this year! The end of the 2023 calendar year runs parallel to a massive shift in energy, planetary movements, and other astrological events — including the transition to a Sagittarius constellation. And this year, some zodiac signs are feeling it a little extra.

The chaos surrounding the holidays typically distracts us from our personal issues; our concerns are blanketed by the stress of cooking Thanksgiving dinner for tons of people or getting the perfect gift for our parents. Conversely, the New Year is all about a “new year, new me” energy, where we go back to focusing on recentering ourselves. This holiday season, though, things have been turned upside down, and life will be moving from a state of confusion and disorder into clarity and revitalization.

But while we’ll all be seeing major transitions in our lives, astrologer Charly King of The Horoscope Vault podcast tells us that three specific zodiac signs will be experiencing powerful effects this Sagittarius season.

Wait, WTF is Sagittarius season?

The Sagittarius zodiac constellation, symbolized by the archer and centaur, occurs between Nov. 22 and Dec. 21. “This sign does best when there is a specific target or goal that’s being worked towards,” King tells Her Campus. “Ruled by the planet Jupiter, matters of expansion, exploration, and sometimes excess are all Sagittarius traits.”

Consequently, there is a lot to anticipate as the sign’s season comes into view. This year, though, this planetary cycle will be particularly life-altering: As Mars moves into Sagittarius, Venus will be entering into Scorpio. This shift in Mars typically offers more fun and optimism with no fear of taking action where action is needed for everyone else, while Venus allows for more heightened sensual drives. Mercury will also move into Capricorn — which happens to be going into retrograde later this season.

Mercury retrograde in Capricorn will be one of the most intense this year,” King explains. “Starting on Dec. 13, this Mercury retrograde during Sagittarius season comes to put a dampener on excessive pleasure seeking. Learning about temptations and which decisions to make in order to secure your future, not just secure some fun in the now, is the main theme.”

Lastly, Neptune  — the planet of uncertainty — shifts out of retrograde to allow for clearer focus and decision-making. However, for these three signs, they might find themselves more deeply impacted by the season’s bringing.

Gemini

In this time of transition from uncertainty and indecisiveness to focus and realignment, Gemini-ruled individuals are especially implicated.

“This sign will be impacted as it’s the halfway mark through their solar year,” King says. “Sagittarius season symbolizes the midpoint for Gemini, allowing them to switch from receptive and appreciative, to active and driven. Energies ramp up and the ability to make things happen is potent.”

Capricorn

Comparatively, Capricorns might find themselves in a place that is less of a “call to action” and more of a meditative state.“This sign is impacted by Sagittarius season in a very contemplative way. This is the season before their own, and is often full of reflection and retrospection,” King explains.

“This is about shedding the stressors of the last year, and making space for the turn of their new year, when Sagittarius season ends.”

Sagittarius

Sagittarians, of course, are the most affected in every cycle. “This is the season of the centaur, and all Sagittarius are approaching their solar return. This is the astrological name for the birthday, when the sun comes back to its place when an individual is born,” King says. “The solar return sets in motion a brand new 12-month chapter of life, making this season pivotal for Sagittarians.”

Every sign will be affected by Sagittarius season, though.

The Sagittarius season energy is meant to ripple throughout the entire zodiac family tree; this era constitutes change and improvement in all areas of personal and professional life for all of the signs.

Mostly, there will be “a desire to explore and expand is the main sensation of this season, [bringing] some serious consideration of responsibility and some emotional changes, especially when not sticking to your own healthy organized structure of everyday errands,” King predicts.

However, in the post-Sagittarius season, “the biggest shift the astrology world is waiting for is Pluto’s movement into Aquarius.” says King. “Some say this is the real dawn of the age of Aquarius, and whether that’s the case or not, Pluto has been in the same sign of Capricorn since 2008, making this the first generational shift in 16 years.”

King adds, “This marks a transformation within humanity to do with human rights groups, technology, and general evolution. Expect science breakthroughs, monetary adjustments, and lots of change with the media, writing arts, and speech.”

The closing of the year 2023, correspondingly, aligns with the closing era of ambiguous anxieties — something we all (regardless of our star sign) can collectively look forward to!
