Black History Month is the annual recognition of achievements from Black individuals and honoring how they’ve contributed to the making of U.S. history. Social media has become an amazing tool in allowing the world to dive deeper into the struggles and triumphs Black individuals have faced. Social media has also become a great tool for discovering the best Black-owned businesses.
Shopping at a Black business is one of the many ways to support the Black community during Black History Month and beyond. While it’s great to be an ally and support during February, it’s important to shop from businesses affected by systemic racism year-round to offer support in any way you can.
It’s time to get comfy, bestie, and celebrate love in all its forms this month.
