How Brigette McHale Keeps Her Reset Routine Realistic

Brigette McHale, better known online as Acquired Style, is no stranger to a routine. From posting her workout plans and go-to recipes to little glimpses into her everyday life, the content creator and co-founder of phe phe has built a following around sharing her lifestyle online. However, even McHale needs a reset sometimes — and following her wedding in August 2026 (which had viewers constantly refreshing the FYP for more content), getting back into a routine was top of mind. “I definitely had to [reset] after everything,” McHale tells Her Campus in an exclusive interview. “But I’m good at getting back into routine pretty quickly.”

For McHale, resetting means returning to the habits that already make her feel her best, including movement, sleep, and nourishing her body. And while she enjoys trying new wellness trends, she believes it is important to focus on what realistically fits into your own routine to stay consistent, especially when it comes to resetting. “If you want to try [trends] out, there’s nothing wrong with that either,” she says. “Keeping everything attainable for your lifestyle and for the way you live your life is what matters.”

Below, Her Campus spoke with McHale about her wellness routine before and after her wedding, her recent partnership with Little Leaf Farms, and her advice for college students who are looking to stay in a routine — or get back into one after a busy season of life.

You recently got married! What did your wellness routine look like leading up to your wedding, and what helped you manage such a busy time?

I’m always pretty regimented with my routine, and my overall wellness is a pretty big part of my life. So, I feel like I didn’t change anything all that much: I was definitely [moving my body] every day, like I always do. I also wasn’t going out as much, and I was making sure to prioritize my sleep. [It was] pretty typical of my everyday life, but probably a little bit more heightened for the wedding.

With fall here, what are some of your favorite seasonal ingredients or recipes?

Fall salads are really underrated. Working with Little Leaf Farms was a very natural fit because they have the best, easiest, cleanest lettuce. My favorite thing, especially for college students, is that you don’t have to wash it — which takes away an extra step. Adding lentils, butternut squash, and sweet potatoes to your salads is such a good way to keep your salad exciting, and also in-season and cozy for fall.

There is so much wellness advice on social media. How do you figure out which habits work for you instead of feeling pressure to follow every new trend?

There are constantly new trends, so keeping things realistic for you is what’s most important. That might not always be following [viral] trends, but if you want to try them out, there’s nothing wrong with that either. Keeping everything attainable for your lifestyle and for the way you live your life is what matters.

For college students who are balancing school, work, and friendships, what advice would you give someone who wants to build a healthier routine?

Keep your expectations realistic and do what’s best for you and your lifestyle. When I was in college, I tried to always keep prepped meals and ingredients on hand, even if it was in my little mini fridge in my freshman year dorm, just to grab and always have on hand. It made it easier for me to have that routine and keep it attainable. But also, don’t put too much pressure on yourself; have a balance, and do everything in moderation.
