Here’s All The Lore Behind Jordyn Woods’s Lucky Bag For The Knicks

The New York Knicks won Game 4 of the NBA Finals on June 10, and we may all have Jordyn Woods to thank for that. (And OG Anunoby, I guess… but I digress.) If you’re wondering about all the lore behind Jordyn Woods’s lucky bag that fans believe is tied to the Knicks making it to the final championship, you’ve come to the right place. Sit down and lock in.

To bring everyone up to speed, Jordyn Woods β€” aside from being a successful entrepreneur, model, TV personality, and infamous former-friend-then-foe-then-friend-again of Kylie Jenner β€” is the fiancΓ©e of New York Knicks center Karl Anthony Towns. The two have been together for about six years, and announced their engagement on Christmas Day 2025. Woods is a court-side staple at Knicks games, always cheering on her man, and for (almost) all of the playoff games this season, she’s done so with a staple orange bag in her hand. The bag in question? Her Woods By Jordyn Tux Clutch Mini in the shade Summer Citrus ($125, Woods By Jordyn). It’s a limited-edition clutch that features faux ostrich leather on the exterior, and comes with two detachable shoulder straps. Woods even wore a matching corset to the first Knicks playoff game for round one back in April.

For those who haven’t watched basketball as closely as TimothΓ©e Chalamet, let me fill you in. The Knicks have absolutely dominated on the court this playoff season, sweeping both the Philadelphia Sixers and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the conference semi-finals and conference finals, respectively. The team has won 15 of their 18 total playoff games, so naturally, Woods and her fans have deemed the clutch her lucky bag. Woods first acknowledged the lucky bag in a TikTok getting ready for Game 2 against the Sixers, saying, “I’m superstitious, I’m gonna keep wearing my bag. 1. Because it’s mine, but 2. because good things are happening.” (She did break the bag streak for the next game, but the Knicks won, so it was OK.)

But it’s not just the Knicks’ performance in the presence of Woods’s bag that has fans calling it lucky. It’s also about the Knicks’ performance without the bag in the arena. For Game 3 of the NBA Finals β€” the first finals game held in New York β€” Madison Square Garden implemented a no-bag policy due to President Donald Trump’s attendance. Unfortunately, that meant Woods couldn’t bring her lucky bag to the Garden. Woods said in a TikTok, “I’m gonna see if I can get Karl to get the bag in, but if not, we have some shoes.” Instead of the bag, Woods wore the shoe version of her orange ostrich bag β€” the Stunt Sandal in Orange Citrus ($225, Woods By Jordyn). The heeled sandals didn’t possess the same magic as the clutch, though. What happened? The Knicks lost their first playoff game after a 13-game winning streak.

Game 4, on June 10, was the ultimate test. Would the return of Woods’s bag bring good luck to the Knicks? You bet. The team had one of the biggest comebacks in NBA Finals history, winning in the final seconds of the game against the Spurs with a 107-106 final score. All hail Queen Jordyn and her lucky bag.
